    I know you're being facetious, but that's actually an important concept in Japanese sci-fi... What made Robotech stand out among shows like Transformers, Robotix, M.A.S.K. etc. was a story element that American cartoons lacked: the ability to empathize with the antagonist, establishing the possibility of peaceful coexistence. Once communication was achieved, mutual understanding led to a cease of hostilities. We see this with the Gamilas in Yamato, with the Zentraedi in Macross, and with the Invid in Mospeada (and even intended for Southern Cross, where the Zor would've been revealed to be simply humans displaced in time).

    That's The Dark Knight Rises armory. It's quite different from the armory seen in The Dark Knight (as are the figures).

    Oh, the paint app's are awful, no question about that... but I don't think it looks anything like what you'd see in animation. 🤨 Nor does fabric clothing, for that matter. 🙄

    I think there would be more demand for a 1:60 Spartan than a Phalanx, but I'd enthusiastically back either proposal... Of course, there's gotta be enough interest to finance the effort. Thanks for listening, Cap'n. Patience, gentlemen. The Master seems more interested in pursuing Macross or Mospeada projects for the moment. Save your pennies in the meantime, so you're ready when the time comes! 😇

    As much as I love the idea of a 1:48 Destroid (and I really do), we already have Destroid models and toys in numerous other scales... and not one of them is a complete set. 😢 Imai never made a 1:100 Monster. Imai never made a 1:72 Phalanx (or Monster). Wave never made a 1:72 Spartan (or Monster). Hi-Metal R (approx. 1:83) never made a Tomahawk or Phalanx. Yamato (1:60) never made a Phalanx, Spartan or Monster. After nearly four decades of this, I'm not going to start a new Destroid collection that I know will never be complete. 🤕 Instead, I humbly suggest you: Offer a 1:72 Monster to complete our Imai, Wave (or Moscato!) Destroid collections, or... Offer a 1:60 Phalanx or Spartan* for our Yamato or Arcadia collections, or... Offer a 1:83 Phalanx or Tomahawk for our HMR collections. Filling any one of these holes in our displays would be preferable to creating a whole new (and much bigger) hole. 😅 *I'd spend $400+ on a new 1:60 Spartan in a heartbeat. Hikaru actually piloted one onscreen! 😃

    These are the tiniest figures I've ever painted. 🤕 The sculpted detail is fabulous, but I should probably ignore the faces entirely from now on. 😐

    They're not complicated kits. Note the Hasegawa on the right was just snapped together straight outta the box, with no paint or glue; the standard Regult needs little more than decals and panel-lining to look as good as an HMR (with the potential to look so much better, if you know what you're doing). ☺️

    Didn't even know there was one... but a Google search revealed that both Flash movie vehicles were McFarlane Toys Store exclusives, and thankfully the Batwing was still available. The belated heads-up was nonetheless appreciated. 😊 Unfortunately, they only ship within North America, so I have to rely on my proxy. 😐

    I'd like to thank Hasegawa for unexpectedly providing what Bandai has only teased for years now... ...and at a more accurate scale than Bandai's undersized Regults, too. ☺️ Sure, it requires decals and panel-lining (and a little paint, even), but it's a mere fraction of the cost of an HMR.

    It was equally unfair of me to judge Transformers Go Away! based on the standards set by Thrilling 30 or War For Cybertron (much less Masterpiece), without considering the target audience. I've basically ignored BotShots, Rescue Bots, and even Cyberverse entirely, and should simply have dismissed Transformers Go to Hell! in the same manner. Honestly, I'd completely forgotten the line had even existed, until Mike shone his spotlight on it. 😅

    Oh, absolutely; different budgets, different target audience. The only fair comparison is contemporary Prime figures, and even then, "Beast Hunters" had an international market supported by a series broadcast around the world, whereas Transformers Go! was limited to Japanese retail. With a much smaller market, I imagine their design budget was even more limited as a result; but then again, the same can be said of Kiss Players, a far superior toy line from several years earlier (with nothing more than a tenuous G1 connection to support it, much less an anime series). I just can't find any excuse for Transformers Go!... least of which its release date, barely a decade ago. 🙄

    Does your conception of "older toys" include figures like Thrilling 30 Springer, perhaps? Or MP-13 Soundwave? As someone who was actively collecting Transformers in 2013, I was appalled by Transformers Go!, especially the toy line. Mike's detailed retrospective has only reinforced my disdain. I don't think "current standards" have changed much over the past decade.

    I've finally got all my UCMG kits assembled in one display: While I eventually intend to expand my Master Grade collection past UC0093, I haven't the faintest idea where I'd put 'em. 😅
