  1. Toynami did release a Dark Legioss... or rather, a "Shadow Alpha." Despite the shoulders, it was a lot more accurate than the awkwardly-proportioned CMs. Better accuracy? No. Better proportions? No. Better build quality? Most definitely.
  2. You know your Ferraris, I see! Note also the Lykan HyperSport from Furious 7, the Shelby Cobra 427 from Bad Boys, the '32 Ford Deuce Coupe from American Graffiti, the Chevrolet Camaro SS and Mercedes Benz SLS AMG from Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and "Herbie," the '63 Volkswagen Beetle from The Love Bug. Driver's side door, passenger side door, and rear door open for interior access... oh, and the hood opens to reveal the engine. Due to licensing issues, the 1:18 Police Spinner was only available bundled with pre-orders for The Final Cut on Blu-ray. Oh, I'm sorry. Did you want to see the Batmobiles?
  3. I think you and I define "finish" very differently...
  4. I agree "Neptune" is the best Seaspray option we've got, but he's just too off-model for me to justify buying, knowing that a better option will likely be available in the future... Of course, this constant competition always leads to analysis paralysis, and I never end up buying any version as a result. (See MP Stunticons, Aerialbots, and Combaticons for more examples of difficult choices I've thus far refrained from making.) Being the only available option for Fall of Cybertron Dinobots (or "Dynobots," in Aligned continuity), that choice was an easy one for me. Their War For Cybertron Omega Supreme, "Genesis," was one of the most satisfying third-party purchases I'd made, and Planet X has proven themselves to be a consistently reliable manufacturer of very accurate figures. They scale extremely well with HasTak's WFC/FOC line as well, of course.
  5. That's the advantage of having action figures: you can recreate the movie that should've been. Yeah, I'm talking to you, J.J. You could've reunited all these characters for The Force Awakens -- Lucasfilm brought all the actors back for you -- but instead, you kept them all apart, and now half of them are dead.
  6. That's because they so horribly mismanaged the merchandising... Three weird little statues, and a $250 Hot Toys figure? I haven't seen a toyetic property with such wasted potential since Mad Max: Fury Road.
  7. Oh, a Hirogen warrior would've made an awesome figure! A Hirogen Nazi would've been great, too. Unfortunately, all we ever got was that Hirogen Borg from Art Asylum... What a bizarre, random choice that was.
  8. That's all well and good, but... where's Harry Kim?
  9. I bought the other four Planet X Dinobots, but never bothered with "Vulcan." I didn't see a significant reason to upgrade. Of course, I only looked as far as the robot mode. That alt. mode is fabulous!
  10. Are the spelling ("Zentredi," "Cammander") and grammatical mistakes ("However he originally") intentional, or just typical Toynami QC?
  11. That's stupidly small. Won't scale with SH Figuarts, Marvel Legends, MAFEX, Revoltech, Play Imaginative, or... ANY other company producing Iron Man figures. Way to shoot yourselves in the foot, Hot Toys.
  12. Baby got back! Extremely humanoid proportions there -- I'm sure the fandom will eat it up -- but regardless, it'll be a great kit. The Furai IDW Prime was one of the nicest injection-mold kits I've ever assembled, and the articulation was crazy good.
  13. Yeah, I couldn't figure out why it looked so awkwardly-proportioned until I realized I was seeing a HasTak mold.
  14. I'm not loving those hinged panels hanging under the intakes in Armo-Diver mode, either. I imagine this Legioss will best be displayed in Fighter mode... ...but good Lord, the pilot looks huge in there!
  15. Okay, that's fair point. I don't know what Arcadia was thinking there... They really should've followed Bandai's lead for their "Premium Finish" releases. Bandai's colors were much more accurate.
  16. Bandai set the precedent, having produced the first transformable VF-4A model. Those are the established colors now, superseding whatever RPG or fan-art depicted before. Like jenius said, it never transformed. Beyond what was depicted onscreen in Flashback 2012, nothing was canon until the Hi-Metal R. Despite appearances, yes.
  17. Yes, that's the Eta. Seeing Sentinel's Legioss next to their Houquet, their "1:48" looks a lot more like 1:60 to me... Definitely closer to Toynami/Aoshima size than Evolution Toys, anyway.
  18. So... if I melt down the thousand dollars' worth of Evolution Toys Legioss I've bought, will the recycled plastic be worth a dollar?
