I gave in and ordered another platz kit. Guess I'll re-attempt the cockpit laser, and the ram-air intakes. I remember seeing this build of the Super Sylph using F-16D parts to replace it's resin bubbles. I don't recall seeing anyone attempt the Mave's brick. Might be something in the 3-d printing market by now? As for the Jam... Just stare at it until cross-eyed and then blink REALLY fast. lol

Yup. An eternal build that may span generations at this point. I should probably need to have a kid to finish it. lol I don't know if it is just the Rei-look alike but it kind of looks like something Reflection would have sculpted back in the day.

I almost choked thinking they were finally going to do some plastic 1/72 kits! Still a must buy even if the older full resin block for a cockpit still is a PITA to model. I still need to find a translated copy of book 3 too!

Looks lovely, are the eyes decals? They looks kind of faded. Did you actually watch the series? All I remember hearing of it was that it was a bad redux of Chobits. Gotta love when you repick up old projects and just breeze through them a 2nd time! -- 20 Years later and I still struggle with making round things. So close but, the final product came out a tad undersized. 😕

A few builds from the new Gundam Weapons MG Endless Waltz Glory of the Losers Special Edition mook. It's an ok book. Everything is clean other than the heavy arms builds which are weathered. Sadly, only less than 1/2 the new equipment from the GOL Manga was modeled in the builds which was a bummer. Some builds like Fluegal and Wing KA were recently shown in Gundam Hobby Life.

"The reveal of the Gundam Devise Exia, a new variant of Gundam Exia, which debuts in METAL BUILD and Gundam 00 series CG animated collaboration project titled Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Revealed Chronicle. Director Mizushima mentioned that while the CG presentation will not be a full anime, it will still be helping to connect some missing links between the seasons 1 and 2 of the original anime series. It will also discuss and unveil the mysteries of the Double Drive system and will feature new mobile suit designs for the 4 main protagonists of the series. The new Exia variant features never-before-seen equipment including its significant GN Devise Backpack that can be extended with arm units to hold its smaller weapons. Gundam Devise Exia also flexes its main weapon, Proto GN Luster Sword that can be housed in the center of the its backpack when not in use. Gundam Devise Exia is set to release this October 2022 for 22,000 Yen." -GKC How does this Exia bridge the gap between S1/S2 of OO when it was thrashed and patched together? This would have to be some off-scene story that ran between the episodes of S1 I guess?

Yep full color and painted. Mine has defects and even has scratches on the backsides where injection marks are. Should hide with topcoating though if you don't plan to paint.

Tons of thrusters arived from the motherland (with some other Macross goodies) Out of the 60+ verniers I hope to find something that will work but, I'm not too optimistic. Last resort will be recasting the set from the 27 Lucifer. Now just to convince myself to get back to work!

Website changed to reveal that Kira's VA announcing a Gundam SEED Metal Spirits figure AND the director for Gundam OO announcing a new Metal Build! I wonder what is next? AFAIK no more gundams from the OO RE:vision sequel were shown other than Dynames and Exia IV, so maybe back to the original S1 roster? https://tamashii.jp/special/gundam-figure-live/

R, Your going to have to resend me your imgur/flickr acct. I cannot seem to find it in my bookmarks anymore. V Siren looks great! Straight gloss or any polishing on her? Come to think of it, is than an older resin kit? I can't think of any recent (fss "recent"=10 years) Neptune's with the mermaid on the shield like in the original art instead of the Fillmore Empire cross.

Yep, I've got the regular release/red one. Yours seems to have held up better, my white plastic is seriously showing some yellowing despite being kept away from sunlight and in a non-smoking display case!. Once of these day's I'll give it some love, though not looking forward to the decals. My comment was more towards how they do things these days. Release a base Z-plus then charge double for the hummingbird add on a year later. That being said after seeing 2019's Robot Spirits C1... I would not mind another newer update at all!

It's also Kira's VA, Sōichirō Hoshi as the guest during presentation and it states "Tons of new information of TAMASHII NATIONS ‘MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM’ series! Do not miss the unveiling of the latest ROBOT SPIRITS ‘MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED’ products!" at the bottom of the page. There were a few of Seed things shown off at the last announcement. Strike Noir, Providence teasers IIRC. Skip the MB Zeta... need a GFFMC plus with a full on Hummingbird option!

I've got the Armored and Regult in the warehouse too... just waiting on that darn Plamax VF-31 nose to release... This is hilarious as I'm like 90% sure I bought a MG D-Hell from you like 5 years ago along with a MG Wing KA and a Bandai Armored VF-25F... still haven't touched any of them either. Could have saved you the DHL cost, just charge you a restocking fee. lol In my experience lately (mostly HLJ and Mandarake orders,) EMS is always been cheaper by about $20-30USD only anything larger than a shoe box. Lately, I've found it easier to give into EBAY markups because the cheaper MSRP cost overseas + shipping (with SAL/Japan Post export being closed) is about the same with less wait.

Amen. Kawamori's original work is a curvy masterpiece. Both Katoki (MG) and Takigawa (RG) remove the exquisite shapes and make them into generic fodder. It's not so bad on the GP01FB as there is alot to distract the eye but, on the regular GP01 it hurts the eye. The ver. A.N.I.M.E. RD is pretty close, there is also the old resin kit by WAVE (I think) released during C3AFA in 1/100 scale. It is a little wonky in the head and needs a bit of work
