    Stuff like that is why I won't and can't blatantly say it isn't a good show, it's a really good show in a lot of ways! That scene was excellent, and very somber, it went down pretty much exactly as you posted from the book. Now the question is will we see the "new" Djinn meeting up with Wednesday in the future? Because the previous Djinn met with him and Shadow in the diner in the second episode but yeah, he extinguished himself and made the mortal a new Djinn, freeing him from his pretty obviously hated existence. Once again, good show is good!

    Oh damn, that makes sense. I'm guessing he also helped those Vikings in the opening scene of the first episode get the hell out of the New World they accidentally stumbled upon, right after he demanded they play the most extreme game of shirts v skins in history! The actor for Wednesday is phenomenal, he's just a ton of fun to watch. Episode 3's Djin/Jin/Genie scene was excellent too, "We don't grant wishes." Indeed, to some extent.

    Three episodes in and I still can't tell if I like this show or not. It has solid performances, some really great visuals, but it just feels like it's really up it's own ass all the time, like it almost implies constantly that it's trippy, and edgy and weird. I don't know, I'll still keep watching, but it gets really middling at times, I can't tell if it's good or pretentious. I've never read the book and know zero about the source material, I don't know if that helps or hurts, either way, it's definitely something. I would recommend at least giving the first episode a shot, if that is too much for you then I'd stop, it just keeps going from there. From what I can gather, with no spoilers because there are honestly very few to give, Gods actually exist, and the old Gods hold a grudge against the new ones we've created in recent times, and I guess they are going to war. Recently released convict Shadow gets tied up in all this nonsense, on the day he is released, by a man simply named Mr.Wednesday, who I believe controls weather, or is the God of weather of climate or something. Very strange stuff, like I said, I'm still watching, so I guess it got me. Also, should someone change the thread title? It was optioned to HBO years ago, it ended up on Starz.

    I got my two missile sets in and I'm meh on them, I don't think they are worth the price. Kind of neat though, I just don't think I will ever use or display them. Oh well, I'll hold onto them for a bit, but they will more then likely be meeting Ebay eventually.

    Did you have any issues with your individual bots? I just got my G1 V2 box set in too and concrete is assembled wrong in one area, and another bot has two left arms so he can't go to alt or limb mode. Nothing too terrible, BBTS already has me covered on replacement parts, but that was a bit lame out of the box. Also, are the joints on yours overall stupid tight? I spent over an hour loosening screws on all of my bots to get them to a better place, everything was way, way too tight. Overall I love the set, but I just know FansToys is going to officially announce and show off their version within a month since I just bought this guy. And I don't ever, ever picture Takara making an MP combiner, the logistics of it just don't make sense for them, much easier for a third party to pull of in my opinion.

    I saw that too, very interesting, but I think you may have meant to post this in the Third Party TF thread. As long as he's coming still I'm happy, that Whirl looks really good IMO.

    Agreed, I loved it as much as the first, and will be buying copious amounts of merch, the standalone Bluray, and the Phase whatever box set. I still love these Marvel films to death, they are fun, fairly well written, and the casts are always fantastic. Far better then anything DC is shitting out and calling their cinematic universe.

    I don't think he's talking about a toy, I think he means the robot itself didn't do anything for him in the show until DZ/Dragon Caesar showed up. I doubt a Chogokin Thunder MZ/Mythical Chi Beasts would happen, they aren't anywhere near as popular or well known. Chogokin DZ/Dragon Caesar maybe, but I doubt Chogokin will take the MMPR stuff any further, it's really only the original season/dino stuff most fans are in to.

    Oh boy, new little haul of stuff, two hauls actually, one HLJ and one NY. Gotta say though, you know you're probably spending too much when you are only expecting one package when you get home, only to find two, and you have zero idea what is in the second or where it is even from. Oh well, the Figuarts Halls are really nice, as is Meta Knight, recommend for any Smash, Kirby, or Nintendo display. Not the biggest Mega Man fan, but I'm in for every Sentinel Mega Man figure! These things are nice! Chewy is great too, looks good next to Han, some are saying he's short, I think he's pretty good, Figuarts Vader was short.

    My guess would be all hail Takara or something, they seem to get constant passes from their most devoted fans. These figures are made in large numbers, and yes there will be issues, but the barrel thing is popping up more and more as a major issue many are facing. I read a number of different members on TFW2005 broke theirs too, the ridges just aren't molded properly on a lot of copies, they're either too tight and cause breaks, or they are like the ridges on mine, worthless, and the barrel just flops downward on his back. Prices on this official stuff just keeps going up too, I've also been reading the new re-issue Coronation MP-11 Starscream has serious issues, it's looking like the KOs of the official stuff are getting to be a better, cheaper bet. Personally, I'm willing to wait for the sexy MakeToys seekers, or just get the YM or KBB KO seekers.

    Pretty detailed little look here, there's a few longer reviews on YouTube, but this guy used the Zyuranger and MMPR themes, so there! The knees are a thing of beauty, they almost brought a tear to my eye. So simple, yet so perfect, finally after years, someone got it, it blends and functions. Another must buy, I hope everyone locked in their POs! edit: I didn't even know the Triceratops horns had the chains in them!

    I remember getting excited when I read Bandai/Tamashii got the license to Pacific Rim, I figured they'd do smaller scale, Robot Spirits or something, but this works! Kind of out of left field too, I don't remember hearing of any kinds of rumors or teases for this. Also, I'm insanely pumped for Megazord! I'm waiting on the Bluefin release, I gotta get me that sweet, sweet MMPR packaging sleeve!

    Unfortunately not, oddly enough Bandai released two versions, one with the paint guns and another command car, and a cheaper version without the car and paint guns. Once again, very odd decision, even more strange, NY only offered the version without the car and paint guns, and yet both were web exclusives.

    FT-04X and FT-04T both came with black heads instead of the toon accurate red one that comes with the standard release. I don't know if those decos are to your liking though.

    My latest goodies, I've got a separate larger haul on the way from HLJ too. I'm still mixed on MP-36, not super impressed. Managed to nab these random Dragonball Figuarts for $25 each, can't pass at that price. I am absolutely loving the Mezco Dredd Lawmaster, this thing is a beast! I love it! It's huge, detailed, nicely weathered, and it's light and sound gimmicks are very impressive. I'm late to the party on FansToys Quakewave, but I like him, I couldn't settle for the official Takara Lilac-Wave .

    My four stand alone Halls shipped three days ago already, my MK VI is the US release that's bundled with yet another Hall piece, so I won't see that for a bit. Also, it appears Star Lord is getting a US release, more expensive as usual, and with another un-necessary accessory. With Spider-Man I did the US release, that big wall piece is unique and brand new, I skipped on strange, and I'll be skipping this, he's quite expensive at BBTS, and I don't think purple explosion effects are worth the upped price tag.

    Yeah I see the "nubs" or "notches" you were referring to when I looked at mine, and mine are definitely ALL worn down. As I said before, mine has a common QC issue, those nubs on my barrel are so worn down my barrel just freely flops out of position, so I'll never have this issue due to my copy's defect. As M'Kyuun mentioned, I'd just shave those down a tiny bit, don't go crazy with it and just keep testing it as you take more off. I've never really heard of this issue, that's very odd how your notches were too large and intact, while mine were already worn down and useless.

    Who was asking for this? I know the Beast Wars MPs have their fans, and of course the G1 toon accurate to a fault guys are their bread and butter, but who really wanted MP movie figures? I already have a ROTF Leader Prime and Buster Prime, that's way more then enough MP or high quality movie Optimus for me. He looks decent I guess, not really wowing me at all, he really doesn't look all that different from my chromed up Buster Prime, which even has the chromed transforming tank guns. This line will be an easy pass, I won't even bother with one for curiosities sake, I've got little love for movie stuff, and what I have is honestly more then I actually should have, they had some decent figures from the films, but they were few and far between.

    I said I wouldn't transform mine and yet I did once just yesterday, this may seem like an ass response, but I personally wouldn't recommend transforming him, his alt mode isn't worth it, it's panely and to get it there is a mess, and you absolutely WILL damage the paint on the figure in multiple areas. That said, if you're still looking to shoulder forward, where exactly on the barrel are you? Are you swinging the assembly with his head up and into it's little appropriate opening? Or are you just getting the panels from his back lined up into the beginning sides of the gun itself? Or are you meaning you can't get the barrel to flip down at the very, very beginning on the assembly it is on on Megatron's back? A major QC issue with my copy is my gun barrel is a floppy mess, it isn't stiff in any direction so mine naturally wants to flop downward already. I haven't heard of this issue before personally, but a rule of thumb on this guy is everything indeed does have a place, it just comes down to tolerances. The barrel absolutely should swing down, and I don't remember any reviewers mentioning that section was notched, but I could be mistaken. edit: Also if you haven't already, take the face and chest OFF! I've found that will make transformation a bit easier in certain spots, and that's two less pieces to get scratched and mangled by the transformation!

    Absolutely loved the first one, easily one of the biggest surprises of the year! Can't wait for this, amazing cast, I mean Elton John? This looks like tons of fun and I can't wait.

    I finally got my MP-36 Megatron delivered to work and...I'm unimpressed. I paid $183 plus shipping, and I feel that is a bit too much, I think the roughly $160 plus shipping that the early pre-order people paid is the sweet spot for this guy, and I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND him at the current $230+ pricing, that price is frakking laughable, truly absurd. I got two laughing faces, a commonly reported QC issue, the gun barrel on his back is floppy, another unfortunately reported QC issue, and he has a nice little scratch on his nose. My biggest issue, and I knew about this already going in so it's on me, is that stupid, horrible, awful looking Con symbol on his chest. Takara included a neat chest swap gimmick, you can put on a battle damaged chest from the original animated movie, and yet Takara didn't think to include a chest with a proper, clean and accurate Con logo on it? Seems baffling to me. Not a single other MP Con Takara has released has a symbol like that, it blends with nothing, and I know when I put him next to Soundwave it's going to stick out even worse, I thought maybe when I got him in hand it wouldn't bother me as much, but it's the opposite, he's sitting on my work desk and all I can look at is that stupid ass symbol on his chest. The proportions bug me more in person too, but once again, I knew about all that going in so it's my fault. Legs are a bit too long, chest is too small, head is too big. It's all toon accurate, but unflattering in hand. Another problem I have is Takara taking the wrong notes from Third Party, I REALLY don't want a ton of stupid "that one time in that one episode" accessories, that may do it for some, but like with many Third Party MP these days, I want that money put into the figure itself. All this superfluous crap I probably won't even take out a single time, it's very annoying, put that money in the figure! Unless you've got money to spend, or really, really want him, I can't personally recommend him at the $230+ he's going for now at most sites. I'd wait for a re-issue or re-paint.

    I am loving that Rocket and Groot. But I'm confused, this set is listed as Web Exclusive, so the only way to get a Figuarts Rocket is to buy this set? Is Star Lord also getting a stand alone release? Will Bluefin distribute some of these guys like we've been getting other Marvel Figuarts?

    Every re-issue copy of Soar was misassembled out of the factory, blue and red. But as you've seen FT was quick on it and got new heads out to retailers, I only had to wait a few days after I got the just released re-issue to get mine. Since you have Soar and Grinder, did you swap the gold knee bits on Soar yet for the die-cast ones Grinder comes with? I did, and it isn't a huge difference but I like the piece of mind. I don't know if you're a Shockwave fan but I just got a cheap re-issue FT Quakwave, and this guy is pretty damn nice too. I got the "toon" color more or less, not the T or "toy" release in the dark purple. I'd recommend him, I couldn't stand the look of the TT one, and Quakeblast is too dark in my opinion, he's like the FT toy color Quakwave, definitely toy accurate, but not for me.

    The fourth and final season, oh boy. I can't wait either, it's been an great ride, this show has been phenomenal in my opinion. I'm guessing everything will lead to Scarif? We know Hera and Chopper make it there, but everyone else is off the table. At this point I've given up on my Snoke being Ezra thing, I'm guessing all this Outer Region stuff that popped up in the new Thrawn book and other written media is where the remnants of the Empire picked up Snoke after they got trashed in EP VI, at this point I see Ezra and Kanan falling to Vader. Ahsoka is returning too, and I'd guess either Vader finishes her too, or she goes Grey Jedi like Luke in EP VIII and goes into exile or something.
