  1. Just like Terminator Resistance it's just a really well done AA game that clearly gets the property, it doesn't have the visual fidelity or polish of, say, Spider-Man 2, but for what it is it's fantastic! Agreed on the clunk, clunk of Robocop's steps, hearing that was nostalgic alone, and yes, Robocop combat is on point, he doesn't crouch, he doesn't take cover, he walks into oncoming fire from no less then a dozen baddies at a time and picks shots with the overwhelmingly fun Robocop vision. Not to be too crass but there's even a "groin shot" animation, limbs fly off, brains explode along with heads, blood trails down walls once splattered, the hyper-violence of that first film is recreated incredibly faithfully. Not to spoil things but eventually the Auto-9 gets upgrades, and you get access to some customization for it, it's not super elaborate, but it helps keep things fresh if you want to stick with the Auto-9. You can use others guns but should you? Occasionally I grab a mounted 50 cal, Master Chief style, but for the most part the Auto-9 is just the business, it's accurate, deadly, and sounds mean as all hell, I love it. I really enjoy the in between stuff too, as you said moving from one shooting gallery to the next would get boring quick, but the in between, semi open-world stuff is really fun, it really helps build the world and definitely gives you the "cop" side of Robocop. Voice acting is certainly mixed, but Weller slips right back into the roll, and he gets some fun new one-lines too. It's just a well-done game in a year of tons, almost literally tons, of other fantastic games. After the drought that was the last couple of years or so 2023 is shaping up to be one of the best years for gamers in history, it's just been month after month of bangers, smaller titles like this may get lost in the shuffle but I hope word of mouth spreads and more people check it out, Tears of the Kingdom and Spider-Man 2 were great, but this Robocop game is doing it for me just the same.
  2. Oh I know it's eight but they're splitting it up, which is beyond idiotic, it's been a long enough wait, another wait just to finish this already very late season is a dumb move by Amazon.
  3. This comes out this Friday? Really? I had no idea, will definitely wait for D+, looks super mid. Gotta say, I find it a bit desperate they tried really, really hard in the very beginning of that new trailer to tie this into Endgame and Thanos, even though this features a villain nobody has ever heard of, and doesn't care about, and features two other leads from two different D+ shows I'm positive most average moviegoers didn't watch, this just doesn't seem like it's going to do any better then Quantumania, and that film was nearly literal garbage. Poor Samuel L. Jackson, so much hype for his return in Secret Wars, and that ended up being as bad, possibly worse, then Inhumans, and now seeing him hobble around in this? Yikes, they done Fury worse then Hulk, and that's saying something.
  4. I just feel six episodes is barely going to cover anything, they have a TON of ground to cover, and it's been a long while since season 1.
  5. It's very much a AA game, not AAA, and that's fine, I don't know if a hyper expensive AAA Robocop game would be a smart idea. I feel for the Robocop property, this is the perfect game, it doesn't have coop or multiplayer or any of those shenanigans, it's just a solid 20-30 hour single player romp in the Robocop universe. You should definitely enjoy it, this dev seems to just "get" these older properties, as I said they don't have the budget for a AAA game, and that's fine, what they put out are fun, fitting experiences for these properties.
  6. Grabbed it Friday night and it's pretty awesome IMO, I think if you don't have a soft spot for the property going in you'll notice and get held up by the flaws more then a fanboy like me, but if you enjoy Robocop you should love it. It's a competent shooter, it's violent, it oozes personality and and it nails the aesthetic and look of the films, I'm really enjoying it. Even the mundane is pretty fun, in between bouts of hardcore, graphic murder and violence you get to serve the public trust, write parking tickets, solve minor issues for various citizens and civilians, it's really good. Just like Terminator Resistance you can tell the devs love the property, it's got details down and you can tell they respected the property and universe, it's a solid little game that doesn't ask too much of you, I haven't used a single gun besides the Auto-9, it's as badass as it has always seemed in the films.
  7. Yup they didn't change much besides a few lines of dialogue, I still enjoy the ending, fantastic series beginning to end, sad to see it finally wrap up but it was a fun ride.
  8. Looks awesome, this and Godzilla Minus One all in one year? Godzilla fans eating good these days, both projects look fantastic!
  9. Looks absolutely fantastic! This reboot trilogy has been quite brilliant since the first film, I'm pressed to think of a more successful reboot franchise in recent history.
  10. Hyped, loved this series from the beginning, ready to see it end, and I'm interested in seeing if they make any changes from the manga.
  11. Yeah I'm in for Rhinox despite the ridiculous price, Beast Wars was my first, and will always be my favorite, Transformers series. Just need a Rattrap and we're looking good for OG Maximals I believe.
  12. Damn, I had no idea this was going to be a thing, looks pretty good too, definitely grabbing one! https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/dune-atreides-royal-ornithopter-10327
  13. I just got contacted by my momNpop game shop that I can pick up my physical copy of Spider-Man 2 tonight, that's awesome.
  14. This as well. The Netflix crew had, from what I've read, basically everything ready to start production on season 4 then the plug got pulled. I know Disney wants this to be a light reboot, but why not just continue things, and for those that didn't watch the Netflix stuff just give us a summary or some dialogue to quickly cover things. And yes, season 3 was the Netflix crew adapting "Born Again", even though Disney swears they aren't adapting that the name doesn't help and even taking cues from that will probably end up coming closer to DD Netflix season 3 then they wanted or were expecting. Either way I'm nervous, Netflix DD was , overall, pretty fantastic, and I was hyped to see a "proper" Bullseye in season 4, D+ knows they have a lot to live up to so scrapping things if they were terrible is at least a small first step in the right direction.
  15. Yeah if they ruin my boy after three seasons on Netflix, two of which were really good, I'll be highly disappointed. At least they realized what they were doing was crap and scrapped it early enough, I've also read the series is going to be dialed back to half the promised episodes, which is fine, the Netflix shows had too many episodes and those were all still better written then any of the D+ MCU shows, so yeah, less is probably more in this case.
  16. Yeah the Terminator game was great, the "Infiltrator" mode, which was added for free and let you play as an actual Terminator, was pretty awesome. Robocop looks fun enough, nothing remarkable, but it's Robocop, there's not a ton you can do besides get the shooting and action right. Looks appropriately gory and over the top, I'm definitely in.
  17. Really liked the finale but it's clearly bait for a season 2, which is fine, but still, it wasn't a very good, satisfying self-contained ending. If we were only getting one season it would've been downright disappointing, but alas, we are clearly getting a second season.
  18. I know, I was joking because BBTS is famous for getting everything in late, super late, import or domestic stuff, they seem to always get their stock dead last no matter what it is.
  19. Still waiting on BBTS, will probably have mine early 2024.
  20. I just don't know about Figuarts Goblin, might have to grab this one instead. Far more affordable, and the smiling face is truly superior to the crappy stoic face on the Figuarts, Ock will probably not get a Figuarts release so I'm sure I'll be grabbing this one, looks pretty good for a Legends.
  21. I'm definitely calculating my free Apple TV month to coincide with the release of the last episode, don't want to start it too early and not be able to finish the series. I'll also check out the new season of that awesome dinosaur documentary, and maybe rewatch Ted Lasso, again.
  22. These all look good but they're soooooo damn expensive, more-so considering the tremendous lack of accessories and the size, except Cloud of course, which comes with that absolutely useless garbage-ready NFT nonsense. I remember when Play Arts were this price, and much bigger, now Play Arts prices rival Hot Toys, frakking crazy.
  23. Did you order from Mezco, because same, they seem to have zero hustle for getting orders out even well after charging for them.
