  1. Great review but I'm a bit confused by the Ghost's compatibility after reading it. Especially since no3ljm posted all these gorgeous pics of it fitting on the 0A's back.
  2. 100 pc only, I wonder if it'll be available through our usual shops for sale
  3. From all these pictures you guys are showing I can't wait to get mine
  4. Same here, weaker even since I also PO'd the 0S I'm bummed by the black paint instead of the clear parts for the wing lights, that is pretty weak. The FAST packs scratching shouldn't really be a problem on the 0A though since Shin's VF doesn't have the black stripes on the side of the leg (?)
  5. Lol that's certainly true. Actually I got the itch to check it out from this thread and most probably from your praise. Maybe I expected too much from it, I don't know, I was waiting for that sucker punch storyline from the start that would keep me binge-watching episode after episode like I did with AOT, Bakuman, Kuroko No Basket or Ping Pong. But I'm not calling it quits yet, it does look very good and quite original too so hopefully I'll love it too after a couple more episodes.
  6. I started watching Kekkai Sensen Blood Blockade and it is a very good anime, I'd definitely recommend it to any Shonen fan. It's beautiful, really well directed and the story is very entertaining. I've heard the recent Gatchaman Crowds/Insight anime is very good too so I'll give it a try too. Bakemonogatari was a bit of a let down. It looks good but I'm through 3 episodes now and nothing really grabbed me into the story which isn't a good sign for an anime. I'll give it another go later probably. I watched a few Muv Luv Alternative Total Eclipse too, but after 3 episodes there's really nothing that I haven't seen done much better in Attack on Titan. AOT was so much better at developing characters while killing them at the same time. The first 2 ML episodes were OK though, but the 3D mecha animation is a mess.
  7. The movie was a steaming POS, I can't believe they managed to do something this bad when all they had to do is write a decent screenplay to adapt the manga. Instead they just rewrote everything and failed with every single scene. It's not even that the actors/idols couldn't play, or that the FX were poorly done, I didn't really mind, I mean those weren't great but they were good enough to pull it off. It's mostly the poor writing and character development nonsense that made the Titan fan in me so angry at this garbage
  8. It's not a big deal but it did prevent me from getting some poses, actually I was quite surprised when I realized that the swivel wasn't above the double elbow joints but in between. I'm kind of torn on this toy, between my admiration for Bandai making some really intricate design choices (mostly the waist joint, ball jointed shoulders) and the fact that these are also not very useable while posing the toy. The shoulders can barely move 1mm forth and back and the waist can only barely rotate (I dented the plastic around the hip joint while using it the first time). Also wish Bandai made the extra work to make the gunpod stow in the shield because that is a simple yet cool feature on the Arcadia
  9. I have both and I love both, but overall the Arcadia has a more solid feel to me and even though I like what Bandai tried to achieve transformation-wise I think Arcadia's has the perfect balance in that department by keeping it simple and fun while I struggle a bit too much on the Bandai.
  10. Thanks for your input MJ, your picture illustrates exactly what I meant.
  11. That's not a bicep swivel, maybe I've been watching too many toy review videos because I thought it was something everyone here understood ;P a bicep swivel should allow the arm to rotate (360) at the bicep, every DX valk has had it so far, except this one
  12. I finished watching all 3 seasons of Kuruoko no basuke and it was throughout excellent, it even made me want to play basketball and I'm pretty lame at that sport but damn that anime has a lot of exhilarating moments. Also started watching Bakemonogatari, after 3 episodes I'm not hooked yet but it looks promising and hopefully won't disappoint
  13. While posing my 19Advance in battroid I noticed I wasn't able to get the arms in some "across the chest" positions because it has no swivel at the bicep which is weird. Because Bandai really went out of their way to implement a waist joint which is arguably useless but still cool nonetheless. But why is there no bicep swivel? One can even spin the forearm which is of no use pose-wise because it is under the double jointed elbow... Am I missing something here?
  14. This is year 1990 and there's a competition to decide who will produce the next US army fighter plane. Maverick is flying the YF-23 and ultimately wins the evaluation after a tough dogfight.
  15. Thanks, I'll try to do that next time. The left side is super smooth on mine, I wish both sides were that way, transformation would be a breeze!
  16. I like what Bandai did with the shield in fighter mode, it's clever and makes fighter mode more streamlined while retained the PT factor to the toy. Of course Gerwalk then suffers from it but I must say I'm not a fan of the YF-19's gerwalk mode anyway so it's a good trade-off for me. Also the intakes in fighter mode look better than on Arcadia's and of course the tampo is very generously spread across all areas of the toy which is really neat. The super parts are garbage though, I'm still pissed because of that leg pack nonsense And I'm still experiencing difficulties during transformation from fighter to battroid. One of the legs (right one) has a scaringly tight peghole to the wingroot top peg (the one visible when the leg super parts are on) and it's an ordeal everytime I transform the thing from fighter mode to unpeg the right wingroot part. I suspect that tightness also pulls the whole leg out a bit when it's in fighter mode, preventing it to be as flush to the body as the left one and it's probably responsible for the gappier look on that side too. I might try sanding off a bit of the wingroot peg to try to fix it but since it's a complex pile of moving parts I'm not 100% sure it's the only origin of the problem on my sample.
  17. Fantastic custom, Alex. Does the gun attach to the side of the bike too?
  18. Looking forward to this one, especially considering that it will be in scale with the 1/24 Ingrams and command car. I'm a bit disappointed Arcadia didn't keep up with the 1/15 scale though, as it could have meant they were willing to reboot their Aramaki bike designs line which stopped halfway after the Garland and Knight Sabers and skipped the Mospeada and Viper's Creed variable motorbikes
  19. Totally agree with you on this
  20. MAXL and a Regult, but the TV SDF-1 is a close third
  21. As much as I'd love to see an X-9 Ghost from you, the VF-11's armour would absolutely kill it, especially since there is next to zero chance Arcadia would reissue the vf-11 mold and even less take a stab at an armour addon for it.
  22. Ouch, seeing those wingroot tabs right there garanties I'll never even bother pulling the super parts out of the box...
  23. In fighter mode one of the legs on mine has a wider gap to the shield than the other. Both sides seem identical further up where the hips connect to the body. I'm suspecting the arms position, has anybody experienced this problem?
