Has anybody tried the waterslide decals yet? How are they? I've never put waterslides on before. Some tips before my 30th Anniversary arrive would be great.

Buying used toys is already a risk. Buying used Transformable Valkyries... that's a HUGE risk. It sucks the gunpod is broken but maybe a fix won't be that hard/obvious?

I like the fact that from the top-down the Tornado parts essentially give the VF-25 the profile of the YF-24.

The website says 17". For the space I was putting it in I wanted it to be at least 19". I do like things sparse but sometimes I want to put the Valks three rows deep and 19"-20" works better for that as well.

I kinda want the super packs for my Max 1J but I also kinda don't feel like searching for them. They don't really sit right on the Hi-Metal.

Wow, that's why they looked so familiar. I had checked those cases out but wasn't sold as they aren't deep enough for my liking.

Odd, you were the one who pointed out that the last several years the QC has been good, which I agree with, as I have zero valks with shoulder problems (including my original release Hikaru 1A). It was Black Valkyrie who was repeating inaccurate, dated information as if it were still fact.

Yeah, I'm confused by that as well. At first I thought this was a fourth color for a Hikaru version or something.

I'm not one to brag but I have a lot more money than that squared away. However, I would hope these things are spaced out a bit... I don't know if I could justify that many similar heads (don't look at all of my VF-1's, don't look at all of my VF-1's...)

I find Nerd-linger's paint scheme ideas fun. I'd love to see what other combinations/styles he could come up with. Do you have the Master File book? Could you do up a SVF-440 Dullahan's scheme for us to dream about?

At this stage the M&M releases would cost $200+. I'd probably have to rebuy them for the side-covers too... and replacement decals.

Yes. There's really no other way to do it though. That piece, canonically, is completely impossible to represent in the real world. Chronocidal is right, it winds up being a big brick that does nothing for any of the modes. Maybe they'll actually have it flip here. I don't know, but so far it looks like exactly the same transformation as the VF-19's and none of them had that 180 flip and I can't see how to make that any easier on this one.

Canonically yes, but on this toy no so the issue with the coloring of that spot still stands.

Every single one you've repainted I'd buy. Really, like the VF-4, this Valk has so many possibilities but I doubt Arcadia will release many. They've already said too many repaints are bad and it's better to have a base color. I'm sure plenty of people could mod the Isamu version... the only issue is the tolerances are so tight the paint won't last. No it doesn't. That's the side that faces forward in Battroid. His best bet would be either a colored highlight around the edge with white in the middle or a small swath of the non-white across the top like on the VF-19S/F. Seriously, nerd-linger, you just came up with a way for Arcadia to sell nine of these (including the original scheme) to me.

Yes, there is already a thread for this. However, it's nice to see new images. Higher price for the water slide decals and stand... I'll take it, I don't have a 1S Hikaru and I want to try out one of the stands with all of the other Valk types anyway.

You're even more anal about one in every mode then I am. I stick to one of each style in every mode. So an S,F,G,R in different modes. Honestly, Macross F made it harder to pull that off since the RVF-25 looks so unique in each of the three modes (plus super packs for all, plus Armor for two, plus Tornado packs for two...)

I had a similar issue happen to me a few years back. It took some digging but I drummed up Gabe Newell's e-mail address and told him where he could shove it... they fixed my problem within the hour. -
