  1. I pulled out one of my VF-19's to compare some of these more thin bits and see if they really are more thin or not. All of the gear bay doors are the same thickness, however I will say that the YF-19's doors don't fit as well as the VF-19 doors do. The only real difference is at the forward section beneath the cockpit. On the VF-19 part of the fuselage extends all the way to beneath the cockpit, so that explains part of it, but even still there's a very thick triangular piece which extends to the interior. On the YF-19 that thin bit is still triangular but not nearly as much. I noticed the VF-19 does fit together better. There's obvious clicks when pushing the nose into position and sliding that piece beneath the cockpit in as well. On the YF-19 it doesn't fit as well and I can't get mine to really click and lock into place like the VF-19 does.
  2. Is there a way to tip antibiotictab because he always provides excellent service.
  3. Really? I ordered one Thursday when I thought there would be no chance of getting a replacement if I waited for the crooks to get back to me and I'm STILL waiting for them to ship the damn thing.
  4. That's actually one of the reasons why I think it looks so cool. Though I believe the way they have it posed does it no favors.
  5. Whoops, didn't edit that out.
  6. Pilots usually have callsigns.
  7. Hmm, well that's different from mine. amiami denied request for a ¥32,310 JPY refund. 4/4/2014 00:37 PDT From Seller - amiami 4/4/2014 00:37 PDT Hello. We're sorry to hear you were not satisfied with our offer for a partial refund. If you would like a refund for the merchandise price (28170 JPY), please return the item to our store. The refund will be processed upon receipt of the returned item. From Seller - amiami 4/4/2014 00:38 PDT We are unfortunately unable to reimburse any return shipping costs. Furthermore, we are unable to process any orders on your account while this dispute is open. We apologize for the inconvenience. I would argue, given the location of the chunk of wing, that it wasn't broken in transit. It's interesting how different each of our responses are. I'm still trying to figure out if Paypal would back me if I pressed for the full ¥32,310 amount. That's a great pic, man. So I got curious about everyone disliking the Fast Packs. I decided to try them out on the broken one just to see. The leg fast packs attache horribly and are designed poorly, I will agree. However, it took me all of two minutes to pop the legs down, attach the leg packs, attach the shoulder pieces and fold it all back up. Other than semi-loose feeling leg packs it holds together great.
  8. Thereabouts, yes.
  9. Antibiotictab, my hero! They really need someone who can pose Gerwalk better. I nominate myself. Why do those Fast Packs on Alto look so light blue? Is that how they usually are?
  10. I never blamed Bandai. Though if we do want to blame the toy maker, in every picture we've seen the stabilizer is pointing away from the back when in Battroid. In the game and the Lego video with Kawamori the stabilizer rotates so it's facing towards the back... which looks mildly better.
  11. I think we're all in agreement there.
  12. Shouldn't be surprised. Not only are you amazingly rapid with updates and modifications but stylistically it looks very elegant.
  13. Oh, air registered is pretty slow from what I recall.
  14. I do have to give credit to Arcadia, the intakes look really great on this thing. Who did you buy it from and what method is it supposed to be shipping by?
  15. I think a lot of people keep miss-understanding what we're talking about. He's referring to the initial shipping to me. Not the return shipping of the damaged item. There's the price of the original item, the price to ship it to me and the price to ship it back. We're saying I should be compensated for the first two things, not the third one. As an addendum, while my bitching has taken over a chunk of the topic feel free to post as many pics of your intact 19's as possible. If you have four of them, let's see the squadrons, please.
  16. To me it reads like they're covering their asses. They want to make sure the item is actually damaged as claimed. And that nothing was stolen or withheld when an item is returned. My only concern would be that second to last line about being responsible for all risks and damage upon return because that could be an easy out for them. Otherwise... at least they are stating their methods, however draconian.
  17. Oh hell, I want this now!!!! Been waiting for a 30 for awhile. I think I'll order two. I like all three modes but I don't want a bunch of white and red planes.
  18. It concerns me that NY has some similar comments as Amiami. For the crazy pre-order deals I can never, ever catch anything at HLJ. NY is pretty much my only option. That's not good.
  19. It's irritating when they start off the premise we only use 10% of our brains... which has already been debunked. But then uninformed pop-science coming from Hollywood is nothing new.
  20. That's the thing, I'm also hedging a potential fix... though since I was just informed my back-up 19 is being shipped from HLJ I may just have to return this one.
  21. Since this is my very first issue and have never used paypal I'm just wondering, based on other people's experiences, how much of a killing blow can I take with these guys?
  22. I don't want them to pay for the return shipping costs, I only want them to pay me back what I paid for the item to be shipped to me.
  23. Holy hell, that's awesome!
  24. I love it, I want multiples. I am a bit worried about how the wings will hold up over time though. I hope they lock. Though I wouldn't have them semi-bent like in these photos. I don't feel like they're long enough to work in that bird-of-prey position like the SV-51. I do wish the tail fins could slide up though, I think that's an oversight that affects the way it looks in Battroid.
