I don;t mind dark canopies, I just feel the tint of the blue color isn't fantastic.

That compounded with nothing attached to the intakes in Gerwalk probably means this thing will be floppy in no time. Provided Bandai hasn't come up with some new mechanism to counter it... since they can no longer rely on anything else but the joints. Or just put it on a shitty stand.

Given every single mode isn't transformed correct here it's hard to tell what is and isn't supposed to be a certain way. The issue with Gerwalk and the intakes is that the intakes actually attach right where the shoulders are. Once those arms are folded out I'm not sure where the intakes could reattach to. Interesting to note there is a small swing bar in that flipped down crotch area so the legs might not have to rotate 180 like it appears. Like it or not, I still don't believe the intakes attach to the main body on this one as the top half is supposed to swivel in both Gerwalk and Battroid. Yup, I just checked out the original Lego video and the intakes are not attached there. Could be explained away by it being made of Lego. However, I also checked out some video from the game on youtube. http://youtu.be/yUiwsQrb-Vk?t=3m58s There's clearly a gap between the fuselage and intakes there as well. That means, God help us, the weight of this thing will be held up entirely by those hip joints of which Bandai can NEVER get correct/tight. It will end up floppy, unless they've come up with some sort of mechanism to compensate. I personally have no faith in Bandai to do that. Another interesting note. Although they're never used in game both that render Swoosh posted and on the original Lego video Kawamori clearly designed the YF-30 to have hardpoints as they're present in all footage.

On either the original broken one or the replacement both of those parts snap down solid for me if they're on the correct side. Then again I find this release to be highly inconsistent between each toy.

It's nice to have the opinion of someone who has a lot of experience with miniatures. I backed the Kickstarter and was fine with everything going on and couldn't understand what all of the crying from these people was about. They looked like miniatures you had to assemble to me. And they did say the seams were from prying apart and reassembling them again. By your second comment there it isn't more of an investment. If there's no control like an investor, then it isn't an investment. It's more like a charity with the hope of a finished product, but you certainly don't make business decisions. It's like you meet someone on the side of the road who tells you some plan of theirs, you give them $20, and they promise if they make it they'll call you. Only it's formalized into a website now.

Even though if you look at the shape of the calves it's painfully obvious which one goes where...

I think, after seeing these pics, I'm going to pre-order at least two.

I'm not sure anybody has said that before... but it's kinda true.

I haven't attempted the Super Nova stickers. Trimming those things would have been a bitch. Are you shipping the last one back to Amiami?
-
If I weren't so scared of the floppiness this is the exact reason why I would get an SV-51. Total Bird-of-Prey look.

Let's see the stickered one!

There has to be something to that Skull Squadron scheme. Even the 30th Anniversary 29 did well with that Fokker scheme. You'd think pretty much any Valk painted like that will do well.
-
I'm not really sure, the 17 is far more dangerous.
-
Yeah, way not transformed correct. I'm willing to wager it's because that nose cone section isn't pushed in all the way, that makes clipping the chest area down harder, if not impossible, and it's obvious that the lower section isn't sitting/connecting correct.

When it can't stand up in Battroid mode out of the box that isn't minor. If you can't stand it up, that's a broken toy.

I doubt the Kai will cost $400.

Me two. Oh, wait...

Actually, my ex-girlfriend stopped watching it because she kept complaining about all of the additional sex scenes they crammed between the story elements that were never in the book. She said she didn't want to watch a bunch of useless porn getting in the way of the story (trust me... she was no prude.)

I already own two of the original. If they issued another VF-4 it would have to be a new scheme for me.

Not really, not a single scene here really looks like it was shot/cut with any of the audio in mind. Only a few small snippets really seem to fit, and only just barely.

I do think if they released a Flashback 2012 scheme it would be pretty successful overall. A lot of people seem to really like that scheme even if the Valk is obscure.

An interesting thing I've noticed now that my non-broken one has arrived from HLJ. The wings aren't even on both sides. Now that I'm not distracted by the broken wing (though I did go back and compare), on both YF-19's it's like the angle of the wing is slightly different on the left side. It's more noticeable with the missiles on. But it drives me nuts. I've checked out the metal bar inside the wing glove and something is mounted ever so slightly different. That stupid high speed mode as ruined something else about this thing.

As long as I liked the paint scheme I'd buy a whole fleet of them.

Hey anime52k8, could you post pics on how to tighten the ankle on the YF-19 for all of us? Thanks.

I agree. I grew up in the Southwest, not New York. Nothing like a Yankee down here. Get a clue.
