  1. So is there actually a connection between the upper body and the legs? Or does the driver have to carry all the weight? Also, no butt armor?
  2. @MechTech Can't you source the blades from another kit? Seems to be a tricky job manufacturing them. _ Since the Harrier's canopy is so spacious, I put some more effort into the pilot. He was converted from a Hasegawa Navy pilot.
  3. Nice finished one:
  4. Harry survived the tentacle attack and is going green now.
  5. I think it would work better as an all animated feature.
  6. Some impressive builds are popping up: https://twitter.com/aniu2/status/1476945614735028225
  7. Just use it in a forced perspective diorama and you're good...
  8. Tentacle alert!
  9. I think Hase started the snap-fit & engineered-for-easy-assembly line with the Crusher Joe kits.
  10. Watched the movie & had to laugh out loud several times:
  11. @arbit Very solid work with the airbrush there! It doesn't need much in terms of washes IMO, just if you want to accentuate specific spots. _ Got some paint on my Harrier today. The Kinetic kit has great fit & details. I just opened the APU exhaust and modded the intake doors for a hovering state.

  13. I'm three episodes into Midnight Mass, and wow is it good! Creator Mike Flanagan did a pretty competend adaption of Stephen King's "Doctor Sleep" in 2019 (the movie was better than the book IMO), and Midnight Mass feels like one of King's work when he was at the peak of his career. It's a slow burner, with the mystical elements only sprinkled in so far, but the show is so well crafted in all aspects that it's a delight to watch. Great writing, great dialogues, great acting, great camera work (those long shots...) – I hope they can keep up this level for the rest of the series.
  14. Looks cool, they surely smoke the same stuff Terry Gilliam had.
  15. Since there's no recent thread for Star Wars games, I'll drop this here:
  16. New 1/100 IMS kits are KOG with Buster and Engage SR1
  17. Is that smaller than the old Imai/Bandai kit?
  18. Wow that's quite a surprise! Looks like the parts are color separated like their Crusher Joe line. I hope for Regult, Q-Rau & N-Ger in the future.
  19. Let's build another Harrier. @arbit The lighting was good, audio could be louder IMO, and good focus on the little details.
  20. Looks like a true labor of love! You know that when you finish it, Hasegawa will release the YF-29 injection kit, following Bandai's Chogokin?
  21. @Thom that PE looks the part! _ I took more shots of the Night Raven and pasted it onto another Terragen backdrop: Some more pics on Flickr @Urashiman that is the Kotobukiya 1/144 plastic kit. Their Ace Combat line is awesome, but very pricey IMO. Of course I couldn't avoid the Night Raven. @Gabe Q It's a small kit with few parts, day 1 is prepping the parts and paint the white inlet & exhaust and the scramjet engines, day 2 mask the white areas, assemble the upper and lower hull and prime everything in black, day 3 dark blue panel shading (that actually took two hours).
  22. I managed to finish the Night Raven over the last weekend; awesome little kit, and a nice desktop art sculpture. The stencil pattern and blueish black were taken from the Electrosphere version.
