    SIGH....No, I didn't. I watched on my 1st Ipod touch on an airplane. It took my a long time to warm up to CW's. Now I'm sure glad I did! Seeing the movie on the big screen, looking back now would have been cool, but at that point SW really wasn't "cool" anymore. It was languishing from the prequels. Another thing I REALLY regret NOT buying is Ahsoka's 1:1 Lightsaber from Master Replicas back in that time period. It was a shelf warmer and I kick myself every time I see her on screen now!

    I guess I got the 2nd version of the Diamond Select E, as a lot of things light up and it has Picard lines from the movie. Guys at the office get a kick out of it. I did my Flory's window wash trick on it quickly when I got it and painted the stand gold and silver like a communicator badge and called it a day. It actually looks pretty cool next to my Defiant model. They scale pretty well in my head cannon. No group stand included, only the craptastic ones the models originally came with. No plans to do anything custom at this point. Waaaaaay to many other projects to get finished!

    GREAT pic @Saburo! The Sv-262 doesn't get enough love! I'm in the same boat and am totally scared to try to put mine back to fighter or go to battroid! Mine's in a psuedo-gerwalk.

    I know what you guys are saying, I noticed that the E's decals are fairly spartan compared to some of the smaller ships. It's definitely meant to be viewed from about 2 or 3 feet away if not further, one guy said it's like the Mona Lisa this set of ships, don't get to close..LOL....and that analogy holds true. My Diamond Select E which is on my desk at work has more detail in the pattern but it's also more than twice the size and the color palette is taken from the Nemesis movie, contrast turned up as Chronocidal said, which honestly I really didn't care for. For this scale, 1/2500, the decals are just fine IMHO. It's more from the First Contact version, heck some of the shots in that movie, the damn thing just looked off white! It will go together with others just fine, let's just see if I can get over the last hurdle and over the finish line here! @wm cheng - I FEEL your pain! Sometimes a whole weekend will go by and I've only accomplished finishing one little thing that I screwed up on Friday night! Solider on mate! The Hornet is looking good!!!     I'm calling the saucer done! Bottom is also finished, now onto the secondary hull and those wonderful long skinny warp nacelles... uhhhgggggg.

    If anyone hasn't yet watched the new Gallery shows on Disney+, I highly recommend it. Kathleen Kennedy is there at the beginning of the 2nd show, but thankfully NOT long. She cuts off one director and steers the conversation to herself. You can see Favreau is just annoyed by her. ANYHWHOOO.....The last 10 minutes of the 2nd one, Dave Filoni just talks about Star Wars. He won't stop, and it is GLORIOUS! Now I'm a life long Star Wars fan of 45 years and he brings up stuff even I never picked up on. Just amazing. If anyone has any doubt, watch this and then tell me that he shouldn't be in charge of all things Star Wars moving forward. He IS THE MAN! (I'm not saying so much from a business perspective, I'm sure he's not interested in that, but from a creative aspect)

    The only place I found was TFSource that had anything in stock. I went with Thundercracker, I'll wait on Jazz and the others. It's easier to sneak little $50 stuff around the wife than some $300+ purchase for all the ones I really want AND the preorders...haha. SO....I'm gonna need a place for some in scale Decepticon/Autobot 3rd party stickers....anybody have a place or know a guy???

    Thanks! I went with Thundercracker. Only one of the seekers I could find in stock at the moment. Which is kind of ironic since the original Thundercracker was my first G1 transformer back in the 80s! I have a feeling these little guys may become a new addiction as Macross HM-R is maybe not dead, but surely could be considered on life support.... Also I happened to see Magic Square's new Soundwave with mini bots pre-order - - Man that's tempting too!

    Thinking about picking up my 1st Newage little G1 Transformer.....any suggestions between Thundercracker or Jazz? Or should I wait for Starscream/Skywarp or even their Megatron?

    Such a missed opportunity with the XL Line, I would happily pay a bit more for more detailing, better layering of panels, better QC etc.... SIGH...Maybe someday someone will do a decent size model kit of the J.

    I practiced my method on the Enterprise C, paint, gloss coat, few applications of Flory's Dark Dirt wash, let dry and wipe, then go in with a tiny brush and do a little clean up..is it perfect?...no...but then again neither is the mold. Some are just to shallow to hold the wash, overall though, simple and effective. The "D" the windows were on the decals, which honestly I thought worked out way better, but the "E" was a newer mold so I guess that's why they were on the plastic.
