    Looking good guys! Today is phaser strip day and beginning decals on the D. Base coat is down and cured. Tamiya Masking Tape For Curves is a lifesaver on this one! Highly recommended!

    Awesome project @tekering! What do you plan to do about the rail guns or whatever they are on the shoulders? THAT is the thing that drove me most crazy even as kid was the angle of those things in cruiser mode!

    I'm willing to bet most everyone here that has a DX has a few if not a LOT of Yamatoes. The Yamatoes are still more fun to just pick up and play with IMO. The DX is bigger/heavier/more fiddly. It's gorgeous yes, but it displays better than it plays. The Yammies do both. Just an old timers .02. Here endeth the lesson.

    It was Ford. I have that trailer on my old Laserdisc box set. It was one of the very 1st ones for Empire. The originals for Star Wars (New Hope) were even worse...LOL. Trailers were reaally bad back then!

    Looking good 505th. While I'm final priming and prepping the D for paint tomorrow morning, I went ahead and snapped together the E. Nicely done kit on the E. Good tight snap fit. Only a few drops of glue just for my own satisfaction. It has to be said, the sculpt on all these ships is spot on IMHO. If Bandai could ever just get a hold of the plans and improve the quality and the assembly process, they would be epic.

    Gentlemen... NCC 1701 - C. I'm pretty proud of this one, came out pretty darn good considering all the challenges along the way. She's ready to join the fleet! Now... Onto the main attraction. The Big D.
