    VF-1 toy advice...

    agreed. Yamato's are NOT toys..
  2. Awesome kit! Just re-watched it on Blu-Ray last night myself!
  3. LOL--I just threw you under the bus for doing more of these in another thread..you're welcome!
  4. I've tried future to gloss coat things before I do weathering, but I'm not quite sure I did it right. Should I thin it before I airbrush it? I just dumped it in the airbrush and sprayed...all that got me was a VERY sticky airbrush trigger and internal parts for like 3 months no matter how many times I cleaned it with windex OR paint thinner! For Benson...www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html
  5. Has anyone asked EXO if he would be willing to do another run of his "option parts"? Seems there is a fairly large outcry for them around here....
  6. thanks! I know the chemistry got altered somehow....it seemed like a good idea...guess not. better to remix each time I suppose and hope it matches!
  7. somebody riddle me this...If I poured the rest of my already mixed paint for airbrushing in an airtight glass bottle and let it sit for about 3 weeks, why when I went to use it today for touch ups..was it a slightly different color when I airbrushed it???? I can't figure it out!
  8. WOW! you my friend ARE a BOSS! You have one steady hand/trigger finger doing that kind of thing with an airbrush! I applaud you!
  9. that's hot! ...in other news---got my shipping notification from HLJ today! As for the whole option parts deal---no big deal to me...I still have plenty of extras that I got from our good buddy EXO's resin run a year or so ago..and frankly..they're every bit as good as Yamato's.
  10. Ahh..now I fully agree with you on that! A little milking of the GBP 1:60 armor would be great!
  11. no tooling cost needed! Just use the VF-1D cockpit nose part. Instant 2 seater!
  12. funny---I was thinking it looked a little TOOOO dark for my liking....almost black. I'll have to wait and see it in person. you know...how COOL would this have been as a two seater...kinda Navy F-14 luv...
  13. Here's hoping it's no more than $300-$325 ish. And available from HLJ.
  14. HLJ got my problem cleared up. Paypal payment went through and my Valk should be here in a few days!
  15. sent an email to HLJ about my particular problem..something about Paypal not having my home address that matched the one they had or something...anyways...got a response less than 2 hrs later. Great customer service I must say..not sure what's going on with the whole Paypal payment option, but I'm sure it will get worked out...ready to get my Cavalier!
  16. Not sure about the whole giant canon thing on that Beta..but I'm kinda diggin the whole "low-viz" look of the thing..might have to pick one up eventually if they become shelf warmers and get cheap!
  17. I'll believe it when it's sitting on my shelf....
  18. Got an email that says mine is reserved, but I think the HLJ website is messed up..can't log in or request password through email.
  19. If there is any way to get my hands on this from HLJ...it WILL be mine..was on the fence till now..damn you Yamato..here..take my $$$!
  20. Let's have a poll here----Change the name of this thread to Shaorin's Antique Electronics Pics..... Come on Shaorin...I KNOW you gotta have a badass Pioneer LaserDisc Player somewhere over there..let's see it!
  21. Got a chance to mask and paint all the colored panels on the top this weekend..came out well I think.
