I have used these in my Bandai Star Destroyer, the Runabout, and the Titanic. They come with a dimmer knob, and they are marked where you can cut them, You can airbrush Tamiya clear acrylics straight onto them and also use cheap Home Depot spray can frost to make them look smoother. I'm SO not good at math so I'm not they guy who's gonna figure out resistance, wired in parallel or series, my dad knew all that and tried to teach me as a teenager, yeh I blew him off and now I regret it. Now I don't do battery power, I cut the wires and re-solder them the way I need them to be to get into the model have the dimmer switch about 6-8 inches away from the model then a few feet of cable to get to wall power. I will say if you pay more money from hobby websites you get more LED's per square inch Double Density I think they are called. Also I buy PRE-WIRED 12V LED's for things as well, the red bussards for the runabout for example. They work great and you don't have to put your own resistors on. All lights of any kind will eventually go out, I don't worry about it, if it happens it happens, just enjoy your kit lit up and turn it off if you aren't in the room or at home. LE LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft 12V Dimmable and Flexible Strip Lights, 3000K Warm White, 300 Units 2835SMD Tape Light for Home, Kitchen, Bedroom, Car and More, Non Waterproof, Power Adapter Included : Amazon.ca: Tools & Home Improvement

This is one of my most desired toys since I was a kid. Never understood why I got a Robotech Veritech that said "Jetfire" on it as Skyfire but annnywhooo..Rick Hunter flew a LOT of missions in that Autobot! I missed out on Phoenix and the absolutely stunning metallic color reissue so I'm looking forward to this! MP-36 was my last MP Transfomer so I'm certainly picky as to what I buy, I hope they don't screw this one up!- 17385 replies

@SpacePirateNekoCheap LED strips/LED tape are super easy to wire up and use and most come with a dimmer knob/on off switch. I've used them on all of my lighted builds thus far. They come in different styles, but if you can get the double density ones, they give you more diodes per inch. Also, you can spray Tamiya acrylics directly into them to change the color. Just my .02

I think I have a problem..... 🤔 Voyager has been added to the to build pile... LOL Reliant decals proceeding.... Screwed one up, kind of a main one on top of course! U shape rounded decal over a complex multi level curve.... Yeh... Ok. Polar Lights. My biggest problem was that I was looking at the decal placement sheet and not the freakin box art. Would have seen immediately that it was supposed to go higher. Oh well. Tried soaking it in Micro Set but no good. Once these things are down they are down for good 😧

I'd LOVE to see them tackle some of the lesser known stuff -- Cat's Eye??? / Star Goose??? - Maybe even Zent Capital Ships??? Prob won't ever happen, but it's nice to dream...

More Deep Space Homer pics... Nice figure, really wish one of the fixed posed hands 👐 held the potato chip bag better. Might super glue it in to one of them. I'm thinking tiny dots of blue tack to stick the potato chips on his suit and in his mouth would be a fun idea. Packaging is first rate. Figure paint aps are good as well. Good articulation for a Homer figure in a big space suit. The ant 🐜 farm is the icing on the cake. I'm forcing my wife to watch that episode with me this weekend... LOL

Got my Aztecs in for the 1/1000 Reliant and Enterprise. Lightened up the preshading just a bit more then got most of the Aztecs down on the Reliant over the weekend along with starting on the actual kit decals. No real issues to report. Good quality decals. Also got the Enterprise basic assembly done and the saucer primed. Also got a 1st round of a mottled paint job down on my 1/350 US Attack sub. (Pictures later)

Weeeelll... You guys knew I couldn't JUST build a 1/1000 scale Reliant right? 🤔 🤣 I justify it like this... "Honey, the Aztek decals were sold as a two pack so I can't just waste the Enterprise ones right?!" Yeh....that'll work. I must say the Enterprise isn't quiet up to the quality of the Reliant. Nothing horrible but the engineering section is gonna require a little putty and sanding where the four sections come together. Saucer and nacelles went together literally perfect 👌.

Taking a quick break from the Reliant waiting on my set of Aztec decals to come in, so I've been slowly and bit by bit building my 1/350 Submarines when I have a spare minute here and there. On these builds I am trying to apply ALL I've learned watching a bazillion YouTube videos the last couple of years on parts prep, gluing, sanding, putty, primering, rescribing panel lines (OMG THAT is some hard ish!!!) and painting. And I mean REALLY trying! So I was sanding, sanding, sanding away on the main half seam down the side of the sub and not pleased with the results from everything on the right side of the picture....THEN I switched over to Barbatos Rex's recommendation of the two (black more course grit and white, finer grit) GLASS files and buffing stick. OMGGgggg....what a world of difference! Now it's a little harder on a rounded submarine hull using a flat non flexible glass file, over a Tamiya sanding sponge or flexible sanding stick, but ohh man it's sooooo much faster and better. If you haven't tried some yet, do so!

SOOOOooooo.....is THIS the reason why as a kid in the 80s in TX I was driving my parents crazy about going out and hunting down Robotech(I didn't know what Macross/Southern Cross/Mospeada was) model kits at every dark, dank hobby shop around town? They were practically non-existent. They were ALL being horded half way around the world and kept in storage somewhere?
