  1. @pengbuzz - Hey those are pretty cool pics man! Thanks for the links!
  2. No, It's just a standard Typhoon....Hard to find model pics of the filming model for Red October, I guess I could make scratch built caterpillar doors if I reaaally wanted to, but I'm kinda meehh on that idea. Just building as is out of box and calling it a day.
  3. Very nice!!! LOVING that grey and white!
  4. @wm cheng Ahhhh... Ok. Thank you for the F-35 Tamiya clarification. In other news... The Red October is together and now not two halves!
  5. Any of you airplane buffs wanna give me your opinions on which 1/72 F-35 kit is the best? Hasegawa? Tamiya? Italeri? I'm leaning towards Tamiya just because I've watched guys building the 1/48 version and it's an extremely well-designed kit, I'm assuming trickle down methods apply to the 1/72 kit... All opinions welcome! 6. @Bolt - That VF-4 looks GREAT! @Kurt Welcome back sir! I have fond memories of ALL your custom 1:48 Yamato's! Your loco looks really nice! I can't WAIT to see that 1:35 Abrams! NO-ONE here does armor and it SO NEEDS to happen! I was thinking about trying an Abrams sometime!
  7. 1:1000 USS Reliant finished up. Fun little kit. Highly recommended.
  8. NICE! Infini Model Cutting mat? If you don't have one, you should totally invest in one. I've just recently started using mine and it's a lifesaver!
  9. The early 2000's Master Replicas were very high quality products - the Star Wars stuff anyway.
  10. @Big s Yeh, I hear you man, she likes oooolder stuff and I'm a kid of the 80's/90's. when (as everyone here KNOWS, ALL the BEST stuff was made!!!) But we do watch TV shows together, Star Trek TNG, she LOVED DS-9/Breaking Bad/LOST and now we're about half way through Better Call Saul. She loves that too. Anywhooo...good advice! Reliant final pics when I get a chance later tonight or maybe tomorrow. Just gotta finish up the stand.
  11. Reliant getting final flat coat today when it warms up. In the mean time... The current three projects I have running concurrently.... The wife had NEVER seen The Hunt for Red October so I made her watch it last night.. She was bored...🤔 🙄 😂 I give up....Pressin on!
  12. @Chronocidal THAT is interesting! I was a HUUUUGE Master Replicas fan back in their hay day! Lots of $$$$ spent in my single man days with them back in the early 00's!
  13. Ok, thanks for the clarification guys! I'll just be patient and maybe one of the 3rd party vendors will make that dream happen some day in smaller scale! I'm looking at you NewAge or Magic Square!
  14. Do any of you guys know if any company has ever made a decent toy version of the Cybertronian Seekers? I can't seem to remember seeing any, but I could be wrong.
  15. @Lolicon - HONK HOOONK!! Two of my favs for sure!
  16. That looks great!
  17. SOS! We've been hit sir ... A lot!!! 😁 Yeh yeh yeh I know it's not screen accurate, but I'm having fun!
  18. @nightmareB4macrossBRUH!!! Those were SOOOO GOOOD!
  19. What he said!
  20. Reliant UPDATE ALL Aztec and kit decals down. Only one screw up on that dark grey one around the bottom of the bridge. Just gonna leave it. Now for some battle damage decals! Warp engine Aztecs were more challenging. Glad I did this before the Enterprise A. Speaking of which... Yeh... I definitively have a problem... LOL. But hey! These are quick fun kits! 😁
  21. @sh9000Bruh..........I would SO take my lunch to work in that EVERY DAY!!!
  22. @Goodman Models WOW! That is absolutely beautiful!!! Great job!!!
  23. I have used these in my Bandai Star Destroyer, the Runabout, and the Titanic. They come with a dimmer knob, and they are marked where you can cut them, You can airbrush Tamiya clear acrylics straight onto them and also use cheap Home Depot spray can frost to make them look smoother. I'm SO not good at math so I'm not they guy who's gonna figure out resistance, wired in parallel or series, my dad knew all that and tried to teach me as a teenager, yeh I blew him off and now I regret it. Now I don't do battery power, I cut the wires and re-solder them the way I need them to be to get into the model have the dimmer switch about 6-8 inches away from the model then a few feet of cable to get to wall power. I will say if you pay more money from hobby websites you get more LED's per square inch Double Density I think they are called. Also I buy PRE-WIRED 12V LED's for things as well, the red bussards for the runabout for example. They work great and you don't have to put your own resistors on. All lights of any kind will eventually go out, I don't worry about it, if it happens it happens, just enjoy your kit lit up and turn it off if you aren't in the room or at home. LE LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft 12V Dimmable and Flexible Strip Lights, 3000K Warm White, 300 Units 2835SMD Tape Light for Home, Kitchen, Bedroom, Car and More, Non Waterproof, Power Adapter Included : Amazon.ca: Tools & Home Improvement
  24. This is one of my most desired toys since I was a kid. Never understood why I got a Robotech Veritech that said "Jetfire" on it as Skyfire but annnywhooo..Rick Hunter flew a LOT of missions in that Autobot! I missed out on Phoenix and the absolutely stunning metallic color reissue so I'm looking forward to this! MP-36 was my last MP Transfomer so I'm certainly picky as to what I buy, I hope they don't screw this one up!
