I picked mine up here about a month or so ago off the for sale thread for about $220 shipped I think. Brand new in box.

This. That is just epic.

Great response there! Can you post a pic of your paper superglued to a stick method? That sounds interesting.

Alrighty then, y'all talked me into it. Scout pod it is! Started on some basic sub assemblies this afternoon. Upper right hand side of pic.

Thanks GU-11, it's actually pretty small, I've had the GIANT metal Code 3 Vader Tie for years, which I figure is about 1:32 scale give or take, so it's nice to have a smaller one as well. Galaxy Stranger, I picked up the SDF-1 off Evilbay a year or so ago after getting shafted out of my money for one off a TFers forum. I actually had the kit as a kid in the 80's and it..well...saw a lot of wars with the Zentradi. I always wanted to build one now that I (sort of) know what I'm doing. I built the first one while on spring break at my grandparents house, so it was pretty horrible. So far it's two votes for the scout pod! which was honestly the way I was kinda leaning anyways...I foresee lots of putty and sanding in my future...LOL?

Yes....this. -
Agreed. The Frontier Valks to me follow a more natural progression from SDF Macross. I don't dislike the Plus or 7 stuff by any means, it just looks like it should come after Frontier to me.

Vacation Day 3...I can't make up my mind what I want to start on next between these 3, so.....I'm putting it up for a vote here! Democracy rules...go!

This SO should have been used in some late 70's or 80's sci-fi movie. Just so freakin cool looking! -
Is it wrong that I never even took my YF-21's Fast Packs's out of the box and attempted to put them on?

I'm seriously about to pull out my Airwolf season 1 DVDs and watch it now... I did have the big folding rotor almost GI Joe size Blue Thunder toy as a kid. It was epic. There was a big metal Airwolf made by Ertl I believe that I always lusted after, but my parents never got it for me....so years later, like 2 years ago I happened upon this pre-order on HLJ and hit buy instantly. Made by Aoshima, I didn't even realize it has working motorized rotors until I got it. Best 1:48 Airwolf ever!

I know right! I thought they were kinda silly when I saw them in the box, but when they catch the light right they look sweeeeet!

finished product. Great little kit for beginners. Not a drop of glue. Don't even have to paint it if you didn't want to. Only drawback is the black and grey molded together wing parts which make it a pain for serious modelers. Overall another great little kit from Bandai's new Star Wars line.

Vacation day one, project one.....Finish masking and painting 1/72 scale Vader Tie wings, (never ever want to have to do that again...ever!) then finish kit!

Blue Thunder was an awesome thing in the 80's. However, I was always an Airwolf fan over Blue Thunder.

I agree. Either her or the Yellow SHOULD have been first or at the very least 2nd behind the "hero" Stick/Scott bike. Everyone would have hit that up. I would have released them in this order... 1)Stick/Scott 2)Yellow 3)Rook 4)Ray (and to keep interest up for a few bucks more, include a articulated Annie "Mint" figure that could have stood beside or been riding on the bike with Ray)

1/3000 TV SDF-1! I'll just sell my car and walk to work!

I'm a sucker for a 29 and in that blue and silver...oh my... . However, like has been mentioned, a 30 in something different would be nice, but I'll bet you dollars to donuts they are holding off for the schemes from Macross Delta or whatever it's gonna be called, so people won't be "30'd out" by the time they release stuff from that.
