Bandai would be probably our best and only shot that I would trust to pull off such a feat. Heck, I would just take an awesome modern day 1:48 or 1:35 even scale model kit for all 3 modes, doesn't have to be a transforming model!

I agree, that fighter mode is very close to being what I consider dead on for the anime...most of the time. Can't wait to see it all painted up!

Frakes is a likable guy, no doubt. Every time you see him talk about the franchise, he's definitely enthusiastic about it! I don't think he's a bad director, just one that needs to have more experience when it comes to feature films. First Contact was arguably the best Next Gen movie, and it's not that Insurrection was bad...it just felt like a long episode of the week Trek for me.

I had those white Robotech VHS as well, the whole series of Southern Cross and New Generation. I had to save up money each month and get my mom or dad to take me to Borders Books and Music to buy them, they were the only place that carried them.

I totally hear what you are saying on that part. Going OT here, if you grew up watching old school cartoons, do yourself one favor, pickup the Blu Ray Volume One Of Tom and Jerry cartoons. That is a premium example of how good a proper restoration can look. The quality of the cartoons is simply stunning....and they are uncut and not PC at all! Which is fantastic in this day and age. Apparently Volume 2 getting released is bogged down with legal issues...grrrr....
