  1. Only thing worse than them taking the blasters out of the pictures is the GRIPING about them taking the blasters out of the pictures. I'm going to go see it just to annoy those who are annoyed at me going to see it...
  2. I think I saw it at the Video Rental place. I don't remember it ever being on TV. It is a fantastic bit of cheese, take a low budget movie with horrible over-acting, goofy dialog, and an elf in loafers, and make it FUN to watch and you have Hawk the Slayer. Rifftrax has it in their riffed catalog and they did a good job with it too.
  3. THAT I would pay to see, it would be crap but I would pay...
  4. Oh heck, just noticed it was from 2015... Bummer
  5. Of all the things I never thought I would see (but WANT to see) this ranks pretty much near the top. I think I'll back this one, even if it doesn't get made the mere thought of this cheesy flick getting a sequel makes me happy. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jul/06/hawk-the-slayer-film-sequel-terry-marcel-jack-palance?CMP=share_btn_fb
  6. Incredbile work!
  7. The second two I don't remember but that first game I know I've heard of before this. No idea where though.
  8. One site maybe not, but across all of them there is nothing I see in a store that I have not known was coming for at least a year or more, unless there was no announcement at all and even then I still see it online first.
  9. Don't forget Rick (if that is who that is supposed to be).
  10. The nearest TRU when I was growing up was an hour away so only went there a couple of times - my young self thought it was awesome but times have moved on. The thrill of seeing something new in a store is long gone - I can (and always will from now on) know about anything I might see in a store long before I would see it in the store. The internet has made it impossible not to know about new products.
  11. What I would do (if I had any ability to translate, all I can do is JAVA to C#) would be to put a single number in each voice bubble and a translation off to the side, or even in a separate document.
  12. If someone really wants to give it a shot google has a phone camera app that translates text in an image. To say that it is a rough translation is probably giving it too much credit but it is a start. I've used it a couple of times and it does give a hint of the gist of a conversation.
  13. Impressive! Truly amazing how it goes with just about everything.
  14. > Well, the union and confederacy specifically didn't use them because the first commercially viable lever-action wasn't introduced until after the civil war had ended. Union cavalry were using level action rifles throughout the war.
  15. Oh well. Started watching the on-demand of the movie today and stopped, it really is a stinker. It does have good moments but the lame bits overpower the good ones. Took a second viewing to have it sink in.
  16. Oh the pain, the pain of the nineties movie. I actually kinda liked that movie too. Well worth another watch on Netflix.
  17. Got him mixed up with Piglet's VA who died a few years back. Still, he sounds a lot like the original guy from 77 too.
  18. Close! It was Speed Racer and some of it certainly appeared to be "animated" on stone tablets! Marine Boy too. OK, gotta get back to LiS now.
  19. Whenever I feel my knee it is NOT a good thing. 52 here. Geez you kidz and your 16bit computers!
  20. I had a crush on her in the seventies when I started watching it too. Judy was supposed to be the "one" but Penny of the show was closer to my age at the time. My earlier post - may have come off too strident, which is why I put that carrot bit in at the end. That episode is worth watching simply for the camp aspect.
  21. Flailing his arms around is just about all the original series robot could do. And LiS came well BEFORE Power Rangers - insulting to say it is "Like" that show as if LiS might have come second. Now to have a carrot. EDIT - Forgot, the first episode or two the robot could move his legs but doing so cut the actors legs inside the suit so they welded the legs together and just had the robot roll everywhere after that.
