  1. Thanks @Focslain and @Chas. This is what the Krylon did to the paint.
  2. So, after some repaints/repairs, and remining myself why I should NOT try and use Krylon gloss for a clear coat (it easts pretty easily through Tamiya) I'm getting some parts together. I still need to put some details into the opening in front of this, but it is basically done. And here's Asuka lurking in the background. I still need to paint thrusters and engines and then do panel lining on it. But, closer and closer!
  3. How did I miss these completed shots?! Truly, a great looking plane with an awesome paint job!
  4. Thank you @Chas, and that is an excellently done Cordoba!
  5. I know the figure is '1/72' but about what size is she compared to either 1/8 or 1/12? On SSM it was noted that she looks to 'happy,' so I figure some 'fierce' alternate eye decals would suit better.
  6. Well I hope it's not like the VF-4, where they stop selling the initial release and only offer the one with the 'extras.' Either way it looks like I'll be buying at least one more then...😉
  7. Don't get me wrong, that's cool, but can it be bought separately, or do we need to buy a whole nother kit...?
  8. Didn't even realize that Wheel of Time season 2 is playing now, up to Ep6. I think I'll wait until it is all out before I binge it.
  9. Very good work on those molds/copies @MechTech. Except for paint, I can't tell the difference! As to the Asuka, I got some paint on her. I was going to go with Tamiya XF-82 Ocean Gray 2, but that turned out too dark. So, I mixed some X2 white with XF-18 Med Blue and that looks a whole lots better! And with the masks off the fore and flight decks. Some little touch ups still to do. Thom
  10. Thanks for those, @sh9000. Except for the computer-ized voices that's some pretty good stuff. Sad though seeing all those ships heading out and knowing most were not coming back.
  11. A few days past, but here is the Warning at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were on one of the secondary stages - but clearly deserve to be on the main!
  12. Totally awesome!! Love the G1 style and the call-outs to other genre. Great bit of work.
  13. That looks so sweet! I wish that was a full figure.
  14. I remember wanting an Alpha and a Beta fighter as a kid. (I know that's not what they are really called, but what does the name on the package matter?)
  15. It feel great to finish a model, right, @pengbuzz? She looks ready for open sea. Thank you @Focslain! Thank you @foundshaian. And yes, that is the Yamato herself, from the reboot series Space Battleship Yamato, 2199. That's my second kit of it as I gave the first to a friend, but until recently this one had been sitting on a shelf gathering more dust than paint. Now I finally got some paint going again! And next on the table is the Asuka! This one is commanded by Captain Yuki Mori in the third series, 2205. Except for a goof on my part and some greebling, this is almost a shake-n-bake kit.
  16. @Chas The Cordoba's design is so cool! Blunt, powerful and bristling with weapons. Yours is looking great! @derex3592 You think that's small, you should watch some watch repair videos on youtube. Talk about tiny parts! But at least they are not all PE, as that would be a real nightmare! As for so much time for each gun, there's a reason why ship models take so long. Some real nice work. @Chronocidal The Arwing looks like it would fit just naturally into Star Wars as a snub fighter! All praise for the guy who transferred it into 3D, and to you for tackling it! Can't wait to see more of it. As for me, I finally finished the Haruna. She'd been sitting sadly on a shelf, incomplete for about five or so years... I used some misc decals to make the landing deck behind the tower, and yes I inadvertently made an RAF roundell in the center... The story behind it is that after the Earth/Garmillas war in 2199, Earth found a few abandoned ships in the Sol System, one of them being this Gaideral class battleship. After reverse engineering it and testing it against UNCN ships the choice was either to use it for target practice, or refurbish it. The latter choice was taken and she was regunned, reengined and given a new command tower, and commissioned into the Cosmo Navy as the Haruna. At some point, I think I'll give it some newer turrets off of a Dreadnought. And in formation with the Kirishima (red) and Murasame (blue). Thom
  17. @Chronocidal That print looks really good. But... If I had to guess, it looks like the beginning of a Starfox Arwing (?)
  18. Confusion is the death of a franchise. They need a media blitz to tell everyone who is in, who is out and what's happening. I probably will go see this in the theater, but I do understand the reasons for not, esp if this (like black Adam) is just a dead end.
  19. It's spelled fanboi... But yes, good looking collection.
  20. @sh9000 Outstanding! I love the lights in it and nice touches of grime.
  21. @Rock Sad to say, some model companies want to make us work rather than have fun with their kits!. You'd think that after decades of complaints, they'd at least have the gear doors match the opening, even if they are supposed to be posed open. It can't be that hard to do... Oh well, glad Mirage is seated now. For the gear doors, it may be easier to just make some new ones from sheet plastic. @MechTech No problem! As for the detail, I new a lot would not be seen straight on, but when looking down through the cockpit glass and into the open back end, it makes it nice and busy.
  22. @Rock It's a real good bit of work getting that to fit, considering the stance the figure has. Had. Much easier if it had come with a half figure for a seated option.
