I hope the JFS is the larger of the two. It looks sharper.

Though... alt-mode not looking very attractive and the weapons rack is a stupid idea. Nobody is going pose or display Hot Rod with that, Takara could have just omitted it and save themselves the plastic and money... Looking better than MPG-20...- 17958 replies

Don't you have a localized Goodsmile & PLAMAX shop? I use the EU outlet, and the retail prices are a bit higher than in Japan, but that is easily compensated saving customs & shipping costs.

@Chronocidal Platz made a resing kit of the Fand 2. I finished it right to the notorious cockpit pod. @wm cheng The F/A-27 and the Sylpheed have regular cockpit interiors, but the resin canopys are not great.

While my nostalgia for the G1 toys takes a definitive backset to the appeal of modern toys, I must confess that I've a soft spot for the G1 Dinobots, especially Sludge, the only one I had as a kid. My hope is that the whole team will get made and I'll get my chance to own the version of Sludge as I wish he'd been back in '85. I keep hoping for Prowl to be announced, since TT will get the most bang for their buck from the Fairlady Z bros. Prowl was my first TF figure, and I kinda destroyed him in my misguided attempt to give him leg articulation. A Missing Link version would not only restore my G1 toy, but in an articulated form I wish he'd had when I was a kid.- 17958 replies

I'm kinda surprised no one commented since this post in 12/19, but that being said, I honestly didn't expect it to be out in 2025 the way the process was going. I have talked with one person that worked on the American release a few months ago, and he mentioned a couple things regarding that, of which I am not at liberty to discuss. It isn't anything super secretive or bad, just their personal comments on it. I'm actually hoping it is out sometime in March, which I'll be very happy to get. It'll give me time to get the house cleaned up so that I can have a larger watch party at the house. It'll definitely be a worthwhile thing, as back in the day, I used to have Friday night shindigs where a bunch of us would have our geek parties and watch anime and Macross II was always a fun go to. We'd watch it, and would just mimic the VAs since (I'll admit) the voices were in many opinions, bad in a brillian way. I kinda hold that in the most respectful way. Can't wait for the release, the acrylic stand, the patches, and the Mikimoto colored sketch (yes, I got all of that).

For as much screentime as they got, I'm still waiting on someone to actually put out models of the Fand 1 and 2. The 2 is a very awkward design, but the 1 kind of looks like an advanced development from the F-16.

Started A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation. It's an isekai series, but it's one of those rare ones that tries to subvert the usual formula by having its protagonist get isekai'd from one fantasy world to another. In this case, a young and sheltered nobleman finds himself suddenly transported to another world and rather than make a fuss about it by panicking he opts to take the whole thing in stride and treat it as an extended vacation. First impressions are that it's actually pretty dull. It's definitely different... but the protagonist is so utterly unbothered by every aspect of his predicament that it feels like he's on something. He greets being dumped in an alley in an unfamiliar country or having someone try to lop his head off with the same energy that a normal person might reserve for informing their waiter that a drink they ordered didn't make it onto the check. Hard to get invested in the protagonist's story when they don't feel like they're invested in their own story! The Invisible Man and His Soon-To-Be Wife is a supernatural romcom about a blind woman named Shizuka who works as a receptionist at the Tounome Private Detective Agency. Her employer, detective Tounome, is a literal invisible man (ala the H.G. Wells novel) who is utterly fascinated by her ability to perceive him where normal people cannot. So they start up an odd relationship together as a blind woman and unseeable man. The setting seems... a bit odd. Mostly like the modern world, though there seem to be various flavors of beast-folk (running the gamut from "human with animal ears" to furry mascot). One set of clients that show up at the Tounome agency profess to be literal space aliens. It's mostly just a framing device for a cute but straightforward romcom. It's very light and cheerful. Almost to slice-of-life levels. Definitely one for the "easy viewing" category, if you're looking to clear your palate after something heavy. -

Hey did anyone ever release a cockpit/canopy upgrade to their previous line of 1/72 resin models where the cockpit and canopy were a combined resin piece which made it impossible to paint the cockpit interior?

Oh I know. Most of my Bandai stuff is bought locally now. I just wish HLJ wouldn't open pre-orders until they're sure how much stock they're getting. It seems like they just guess how much they'll get. I'll keep using HLJ for non-Bandai. They've been great for getting the new PLAMAX stuff, kotobukiya stuff like Ikaruga kits and Legend of Galactic Heroes ships, moderoid stuff like the Horizon Zero Dawn kit, and Hasegawa in general. I also get my hobby mags there.

Thanks! Just wanted to demonstrate the pose-ability of the threezero. The waist rotation and knee flexibility give a lot of interesting dynamic options compared to other VF-1Xs, especially in battroid mode. I like the sculpt of the DX and arcadias, but i'm not sure my arcadias could achieve these same poses.
