    Thanks Thom! Here's the ship in primer: My plan is to paint it black, then drybrush the entire ship in metallic blue/grey (blue-silver) until the main color is built up.

As for me, finally got my Mechwarrior5:Clans, MW5-Clans:Tukayyid, and MW5-Mercs:SofKerensky for more acceptable pricing! yay!

    I seem to recall discussion a few years back about incorporating Discovery (and thus its spinoffs Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy) into the Kelvin timeline, both as a means of addressing inconsistencies in canon (Spock's adopted sister?), technological anachronisms (interactive hologrammatic communications, for example), and cosmetic differences (like the Klingon redesigns). At the very least, Eaglemoss ran with that when it came to classifying Discovery miniatures... However, given the continuity nods to Prodigy, the appearance of the Klingon character, and that Robert Picardo seems to be reprising his role from Voyager, I suppose Starfleet Academy is definitively part of the Prime timeline...? 🤨

    Ok, that is rather interesting. I wonder if it's just a trick of the light, or if they actually did use a DYRL head on that one, since the shape is different too.

    You want to know what's crazy? Roy's head unit has the DYRL Yellow Arrows in the picture in Fighter. (Black arrows in Battroid pic) So DYRL Roy is coming down the pipe or better yet just include a replacement head unit with yellow arrows as pictured as they included the grey goggles 1J armor pack.

    They might be trying to conserve funds while getting more sales out of this mold in preparation for brand-new release of a different mech. (Kinda hoping they might do a TV SDF-1 )

    At less this one could have been a Hikaru TV VF-1S. How things are unfolding with this DX line a full Vermillion team or DYRL skull squadron seems pretty impossible. If they just want to milk the mold just recolor the TV VF-1A to Kakizaki colors!

    Iirc, LG and Pioneer did announced manufacturing-stop last year. Still should have some lingering inventory-stock among tech-retail shops. I see at least one of the specific models for modding still listed on Amzn. Good luck!

    Yeah, I missed the "dedicated pedestal" note, so looks like a standard TV release. Oh well. If they ever get around to a DYRL version I'll probably try for a couple, but it was easy enough to kitbash one with a spare Hikaru from the VT-1, and a swapped instrument panel. I generally prefer the TV markings anyhow, especially the non-backwards modex.

    They did list a stand in the contents description, although no pics of it. Might be a mistake? But yeah it blows no missiles here.

    Just.. wow Bandai. Reissuing it and not including missiles like you did for the Hikaru re-release... and apparently not even bothering with a stand this time? I mean.. great for people missing one, but yikes. Feels like they're pushing the franchise along in maintenance mode.
