  1. Past hour
  2. Looks great but... Peter Cullen's age is definitely noticeable... How much you wanna bet PRIME will reboot Invincible as a live action series in the next five or so years??
  3. Looks great and I'm sure we'll watch but come on... this is only moar milking.
  4. They were, but they had to pause chemo while she was in the hospital (her hemoglobin was too low for chemo).
  5. Today
  6. Make sure to post the progress on the kit in the workbench section. I’d love to see how it goes together. Personally I really only have space for the 1/35 kits these days and passed on the big brother, but still would like to see it built
  7. Burning bush, he’s wearing the bush
  8. So, he’s shoved into a basket to float down the river, raised as a prince in Skeletor’s court, winds up killing one of Skeletor’s henchmen, has to flee to a far off country as a result, and gets a supernatural message from a burning bush? 😁
  9. It's sad that John Erwin passed away. He would definitely have been in the movie.
  10. Yeah, the lack of rhyme or reason was what threw me... since Dune Messiah is 3/4 the length of Children of Dune but that one somehow got published as a single volume where the others were split into anywhere from 2-4 pieces. I've been able to confirm that Toru Yano wrote for SF and that he did those translations in that timeframe for the same publisher. I just gotta find if there's a center to that Venn diagram.
  11. Those early fleets likely had some war surplus Destroids (or the knowhow to make same) that could be adapted into the early model Workroids like we see in Macross 7. Not to mention some of those early fleets had Zentradi warships as part of their escort details, meaning they also had Zentradi crew who could assist with construction in lieu of such equipment in a pinch. My assumption - apropos of nothing in particular - would be that it would probably take a small fleet like that several years to build up a large town. They'd probably need to start with bulk manufacturing prefabricated housing units like the ones we see Hikaru living in after the war in SDF Macross and basic infrastructure like water treatment plants and/or power plants. (Though that prefab housing is said to have its own independent power systems via solar panels.) From there they could gradually scale up to urban planning with buildings for businesses, high density housing, and proper infrastructure. (Honestly, feels like I ought to refer this one out to someone who studied the growth of towns during the gold rush.)
  12. Hobby Japan Web has a nice overview of the new 1:24 Wave STTC! I received the Wave RSC kit last week and must say it's quite nice! The detailing is very com-parable to the Hi-Meta R figures in detail! Some features are more detailed on the Wave kit while others are a little nicer on the HMR versions, of course Bandai still has the upper hand since everything is tamp-printed and have metal joints and feat for posing.... 😉
  13. Because He-Man is Eternia's Moses?? LOL, idk.
  14. @pengbuzz Praying for you guys! I thought they would have already been treating her cancer? - MT
  15. This looks better than I thought. Just don’t really get the story, but seeing him as HE Man fighting Skeletor actually looked pretty cool, even though I’m sure he doesn’t get his powers till the end of this movie. Not sure why they’d send the most powerful hero away and kinda seems like everyone knows who he is
  16. I SO want this to be just....decent and FUN! Fingers crossed!
  17. I don't know... we've seen worse but won't pay to see it in the theater unless it has good reviews on RT and here.
  18. Japanese publishers print those multi-volume novels in "pocket sized" editions, and there's no particular rhyme or reason for where they break up the books. For example, my Japanese version of The Hobbit comes in 2 volumes. Perhaps the translation of Children of Dune would have resulted in 4 volumes that were too thin (for the market and/or the publisher), so they opted for 3 slightly thicker volumes?
  19. Hmm, I guess the clincher for me is for small-to medium sized pops (10k-100k). Those probably need to rely more on their ships and maybe exploit local terrain (dig out artificial caverns with mecha support) if they don't have a nice city to fall back on. Thinking about cases like an adhoc caravan of cargo craft and all.
  20. I think I'm leaning more toward a straight review of the GBP but with a few comparisons. I've wrestled with format a bunch but I think I'm going to review the DX GBP Accessory (both Hikaru and Roy's colors) in one video like I just did with the multiple Yamato releases... it will just focus on the GBP and not the VF-1 toys unless I notice something along the way that shows me the VF-1 toys aren't just exact reissues.
  21. They’re cute, but I really wish a company like boss fights got the rights to do D&D in 1/18. I like their fantasy stuff in that scale, but these are kind of skippable
