  1. Past hour
  2. Oooh thats something to look forward to if true. Still I prefer a DX virgin road this year if ever there was going to be one... Or a DX CF...which would be tough to stay away from just 1..
  3. There's nothing wrong with that. I enjoy watching The Mummy (Brandon Fraser's version) for that very reason! However, Star Trek is... well, for certain fans like me, it's known as the type of show that I watch to be challenged and use my critical thinking. (Yes, I stopped watching Nu-Trek after the first Kelvin timeline movie and the 2nd season of Discovery. On the other hand, I'm currently rewatching the 4th season of Enterprise, and thoroughly enjoying it.)
  4. That's honestly a pretty mean comment since a lot of collectors buy double or triple of a release just to have backups! If we would have been able to have the fore site of the Hi-Metal 1/55 releases back in 83-85 lots of people would have bought more then one! but collecting wasn't a big deal back then! But you learn from your mistake and adjust!
  5. Today
  6. Bandai - Dragon Ball Super - Dragon Stars Series - Super Saiyan Vegeta Action Figure x 3
  7. About the choice of terminology, certainly... but unlike NuTrek's usual fare, I feel like there's actually some method to their madness on this one even if it's a good deal less clever or subtle than Trek's better-woven Aesops. The War College wasn't a thing in Star Trek: Discovery or any other prior Star Trek series or movie and it doesn't make a lick of sense in context for Starfleet to have two separate, rival service academies with radically different educational priorities. That means it was almost certainly created for the series with a specific narrative purpose in mind. The obvious, ham-fisted, explanation being that the War College is meant as a vehicle for examination and deconstruction of the wildly unpopular decision Discovery, Picard, and Prodigy all made to go and sh*t on everything Star Trek stands for by rewriting the Federation and Starfleet as militaristic isolationists. At the very least, it suggests someone at Paramount understands why audiences hated Discovery, Picard, and Section 31. ... and the Star Trek 2009 reboot trilogy, and Picard, and Section 31. If you're watching Star Trek and you're not thinking you're either not watching real Star Trek or there's something wrong with you. This franchise made a name for itself as cerebral sci-fi that taught moral lessons and examined complex social issues through allegorical space adventure.
  8. I did mention the first prototype release back in November, actually a day before they showed us the next upcoming releases! I guess they were setting up the display while I was writing about the 5th anniversary of introducing us the the Hi-Metal R V.O.T.O.M.S. line 🤣 But ja, the Beserga WP was finally intruduced as an upcoming release... and I'm sure it will be another great release! 🤗 And was really hoping for the ATM-09-GC Brutishdog, with the ATM-09-ST MELQUIYAN close behind!
  9. LOL 😂 But, I honestly woudn't be surprised.
  10. agree, need the movie version with yellow arrows. not buying this for round hands lol only dumb people keep re-buying copies they already own. bandai loves scamming dumb people. see it all the time with metal build repeats.
  11. some comments from the twitter-verse on the DX-Roy Rev announcement: https://twitter.com/barhara/status/2015625777337991524 web-translated: 🤣
  12. Awesome that we get a Zero in this line. Seeing that they did a Cutman I wonder what the possibility of MDLX Mavericks are. I would love to have a Storm Eagle but all the Mega Man X Mavericks are great designs. I don’t think there is a bad one unlike X2 and X3 where most of them are a miss for me (although Neon Tiger and Overdrive Ostrich are rad).
  13. Bandai gave the impression that they were kinda following the HMR VOTOMS release-cycle via the tv/ova arcs sequence: Uoodo arc: RSC Last Red Shoulder ova: TC and Bloodsucker Kumen arc: Marshy, Berserga, Beetle Then, after some big delay bordering on line-cancellation, they released TC and Bloodsucker but went on and upended the scheduling by following it up with the Space Dog and Space Fatty instead, which was in the Space Arc following Kumen. Furthermore, they've only recently revealed the Brutishdog alongside the Regular and Melquiya Dogs, which are in the Uoodo arc. The Round-Mover being in a separate accessory pack now. Conspicously still missing are the Snapping Turtle and the Snapping Tortoise reveals (Kumen arcs). So Bandai just gonna keep on Bandai'ing... I had also posted these here and the HMR thread back in the day: https://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/38846-votoms/page/58/#findComment-1555672
  14. Sometimes I really like to under think things. That’s the only way I still have fun watching Jurassic Park sequels these days. Gotta turn the brain off and just enjoy the dinos
  15. It’s already sounding better than the newer Trek shows
  16. Ah, I'd completely forgot they had shown the Berserga WP previously. So, I just did some web searching to remind myself and saw these pics on Facebook and X from Tamashii Nation 2020 of Hi-Metal R ATM-09-WR Marshydog, ATH-06-WP Diving Beetle, ATH-Q64 Berserga WP.
  17. This would be the most logical! But the Berserga WP looked like it was further along! after all they have been working on it for almost 6 years! 🤣 But a ATM-09-WR Marshydog could also be next to start of the Kummen arc. They do sometimes like to surprise us in-between releases like they did with the ATM-09-ST (Space Assault) version which was never shown with the Turbo Custom and Bloodsucker although it was released between them! But I'm sure we will know by the end of next month! 🤗
  18. I've thought about it and I know the next DX release... It will be the Hikaru VF-1J anniversary edition arriving in December with new flight stand that says "8 Years!"
  19. I would much rather overthink something than underthink it. That's how we ended up with Discovery and Dave Filoni's take on Star Wars.
  20. I'd do a clearcoat to protect it; even after it's dried, paint can rub off after a while and you also don't want the paint to pick up dirt and grime.
  21. My bet is the next Hi-Metal R announced will be the Brutishdog. However, I'd quite like either a Diving Beetle or Standing Turtle / Standing Tortoise. I'm currently rewatching the Kummen arc of the TV series. 😅 A Marshydog would also be OK. However, my number 1 most wanted AT is still the Burglarydog, closely followed by a ground type Fatty.
  22. Thanks! I wanted to develop a new adversary for my pet project, Star Trek: Alpha Centauri. It was getting to be a "one-villain show" if you know what I mean.
  23. Just read abt it. That old school emotional edge to his artwork, esp facial expressions, always got to me. RIP to a legend. Thank you for the memories.
  24. Oh no, that's a completely different market. Bandai routinely releases Robot Spirits and RG model kits concurrently (even though they're the same scale), 'cause some like to make models and some like to collect completed action figures. Furthermore, 1:20 Scopedog models are more than twice the size of the HMRs (even though they cost half as much). 😅
  25. I have been on and off working on my reissue Arcadia sdf-1 and I strongly suggest to finish with topcoat to protect your work - freshly applied paint rubbed off multiple times as I handled it along the way..
