    I wasn't gonna say anything, but your original texture was a bit too yellow, and the correct does look closer to the model kit, although color correction has deep fried the grays and the shadows lol. Makina also needs more saturation on the level of Mikumo's purple or something to get that eye bleeding hot pink vibrancy lol. Maybe to a tiny degree, Reina too, but I feel like her scheme is mostly lacking because it's reliant on the lime green accesories that aren't from the actual valk, so it can't be helped. Btw some of the "transparent" backgound on their Walkure logos are somehow on the wrong layer and opacity or something, and are deleting parts of the white stripes.

    Here is the "official" Kaname in battroid, along with Reina and, just to try something, I color corrected Kaname down into the orange range. I think that starts to suit her better.

    WOW! I can't believe how many AWESOME builds I have been missing! I had to go through several pages and don't have time to comment on everyone's beautiful work! What the heck; everything from phasers to chickens besides the usual suspects! My apologies, I'll try to get on more often. I have just been more busy and been spendingmore time with family than on the bench. First off, my main excuse. After losing our one cat, Shadow back in February, a friend of my wife's talked her into getting a couple of kittens - for multiple reasons. Mainly that our exhisitng cat would have friends while we're out at work. Cats ARE pack animals and prefer social settings than being alone. So, the latest edition to my workbench is Stormie and Tygra (L to R). And the whole gang chillin' on the couch. They were so tiny and young that they slept with us and always had to be with us. We lost A LOT of sleep! But they're getting used to everything now. It also means me backing off on the paint and glue while they'e around (which is A LOT too). Even now they'e up here with me😁 But I'm not a total slacker and did get some stuff done. The 1/35th Dougram DX comes with that GIANT backpack cannon and a tiny rocket pod! So I made a bigger rocket pod to "balance it" a bit better! Here's all the parts and making the rocket tips to glue into the pod. The tine holes in the non-drilled out end are for "stays" made of wire to get glued in place. And how they were made and cut-off on the lathe... The F-35B is on hold for sci-fi stuff. But the cockpit is getting there. The seat is UPHOLSTERED! It's covered with THIN fabric from tiny wire tape on top of thin brass sheets. Then it's all glued together. The panels are Eduard photetch and seatbelts. The kit and Eduard did not include a joystick on the right, so I had to make one. The ejection seat pull handle is made from yellow and black thread white-glued and twisted together on a Dremmel. The main panel is made from decal bits. The Eduard one looked like a newspaper and I messed it up with a clear coat. And finally, my old Takara Dougram Hasty Ironfoot gun muzzle wasn't looking so hot and getting nessed up on the seem (not visible). So I machined a new one in steel. Then heated it up to give it that burnt effect AND protect it from corrosion. That's it for now. Thank you for checking in and I'll do better getting on more often.     I agree with that and was kind of disappointed in Kaname's colors here (though they look pretty good on the battroid mode), yellow is bold but it ends up being plain somehow. I saw another model for her that used the green and black from her signature outfit that looked a bit better, but still ended up not living up to her kick ass persona. But then, Delta kind of excelled at short selling it's best characters (nothing against Freyja, who I do actually like, but Kaname and Mirage should have wiped the floor with all comers).

    As mentioned in the Mospeada thread, the top part of my stand connector sheared off and got stuck in the Tread attachment. I put plastic bonder on it. And I added adhesive putty to the separate Legioss attachment point. After about a week, it all seems to be holding: The wing did wind up dipping to the ground, but everything seems to still be holding. Probably better to leave well enough alone, rather than try to tweak it more.

    Rewatched "A Quality of Mercy" as part of introducing my Trekkie parents to Strange New Worlds. When it comes to the subject of Pike being a soft touch, no episode really encapsulates it better than "A Quality of Mercy" and its alternate take on the events of TOS's iconic "Balance of Terror". Not only does Pike's softer, more informal style lead to him failing to crack down on the racism on his bridge but even with a second ship for support he ends up fumbling the encounter with the Romulan Bird of Prey so badly that it causes more than a decade of warfare that goes so badly for the entire quadrant that the Klingon monks on Boreth make another once-in-a-generation exception for the same guy to take a time crystal and fix the timeline. And a random thought... since Strange New Worlds definitely wants to skew lighter and softer than other modern Star Trek shows (to its considerable benefit), y'know who'd be a good antagonist to bring back? The Kzinti. They're mentioned in Picard and we actually see a Kzinti Starfleet officer on the Cerritos in Lower Decks. They're a stubborn nuisance-level threat who are apparently still hassling the Federation on some level even in 2401. They were originally going to show the Kzinti starting sh*t with humanity back in Enterprise's fifth season (before the series was cancelled), and it'd be fun to bring them back as a lighter-and-softer nemesis for Pike now that the Gorn have been put back on the shelf until Kirk's era and the Federation's cold war with the Klingons is ongoing.

    Final Report : Enterprise Leaving Space Dock : NCC-1701...No bloody A, B, C or D! 😂. Polar Lights 1/1000 TOS Enterprise Space Seed Edition completed. This was a looong build because life interfered over the past year and a half, this kit was old, you can just tell.... it's my least favorite Enterprise design and the fit issues... My goodness. Soooo much putty and sanding to get rid of ALL the seams..thought it would never end... along with other issues that cropped up along the way...stupid clear domes that are now forever rattling around inside the saucer... But anyways!!!... I'm pretty darn happy with the final result. Looks good enough for me to want to display it at work with my other 1/1000 scale ships. Enjoy the pics! Onto the next unfinished kit on the list! 😁

Image size: Height maximum per toy will now be set to 2400pixels for 3 pictures combined. That means one high resolution picture at 2400pixels or three decent resolution picture of 800pixels each.

    I love this toy, and it also makes me mad at the same time, because I hate that Bandai can’t make an anime looking kit of this design for the model builders.

    I know the Yamato Fan Racer kit I got from somewhere had the pilot with it. I don't thiiiiink I bought it with my Angel Birds release, but I can't say for sure. No Landing gear though did bum me out. I had plans to make a cool diorama with the 1:60 hand painted Petite Cola machine and figures from @EXO back in the day along side the Yamato VF-1D and Roy's TV-1S and the Angel Bird 1A.

    Nice work. Freyja reminds me of McD lol. Speaking of Freyja, I always found it strange that her outfit color is swapped with Kaname, based on how everyone is supposed to go by hair color. I feel like the whole "red ranger = MC" trope really messed up their color assignments, and it trickles down all the way to these VFG models. Kaname even gets shafted by having black and gray for secondary colors to go with her filler ranger color lol
