  1. Past hour
  2. I mean I could understand concealing the identity if it were an up/down vote, but what is the down side of a member knowing it was me who liked their post? Or me knowing whi h mem ers liked a post I made? It just seemes an odd decision to hide this information behind the word 'Somebody' - i.e. 'Somebody liked a post'. Has identifying people who liked a post caused some sort of trouble in the past? Just curious.
  3. Today
  4. I totally stopped watching that show after the third season. Felt like it was trying way too hard or something
  5. Oddly the fatty has a slightly different look to the downformprobably just has to keep the thigh down flat and a couple extra bends here and there.
  6. Ok I will look into this. Thank you
  7. Ok thank you for the insight
  8. Threezero Robo-Dou Robotech Vf-1J Veritech (Miriya Sterling) [Review]
  9. The panels that have to be pushed in to transform in to Landing Mode (Standby Mode) can only be done when the legs are fully extended! I'm sure Bandai tested this thoroughly before release.... Mine won't come till mid January so until then can't say anything further, But since I saw lots of pictures, off even the Scopedog not being transformed properly into standby mode, I say they are probably missing something!? Correct! Incorrect... Incorrect!... Incorrect... Mine correct! and the hands are not touching the ground! The ATM-09-ST deos Standby Mode perfectly, but you need some time to do it properly since the joints are very stiff! I'm sure something wasn't extended properly to close the panels that's needed to be able to transform the fatty into (Standby Mode)!
  10. requiring Wotafa video soon, as a couple of HMR Fatty owners tweeted having issues transforming theirs into standby-mode... https://twitter.com/de_nka1/status/2003972373830320179 web-translated: https://twitter.com/aono_XXX_go/status/2004122853948772688 web-translated: https://twitter.com/aono_XXX_go/status/2004126075115438592 web-translated:
  11. Designer Interview on the two new Scopedogs that are coming 2026
  12. Christmas edition Plamax BTS, this one being all about the “cuffs” visible with the arm armour fitted.
  13. More Plamax BTS, this time separate colour parts for the rear “dome”.
  14. I love Lendy's designs. His chibi Vf-1s are cool, too. Supported this and hope it reaches 10K in record time and then gets chosen. This, I believe, will be the third VF-1 submission to Ideas (I believe Lendy had one before this a few years back), so it's time it got the greenlight. FYI, Lendy also submitted the Voltron model that got made into a set.
  15. there's one virgin road on mandarake right now and another on one of the other japanese secondhand sites (mercari/rakuten/jdirect fleamarket).

  17. Go to this subreddit r/3Dprintmything and post a request to get your shoulder hinge replaced. I did this five months ago over the Summer and got a reply almost instantly from several people near me that was willing to print and mail me the shoulders I needed. Depending on your location, the price can vary, but I was quoted anywhere from $8 to $12 and that included shipping. I recommend choosing 2-3 different people to make you a pair of shoulders as you can't tell the quality of the printed shoulder until you received them and just choose the one that looks best to you.
  18. Very cool and all but decided to pass on the Arctic HISS.
  19. Yeah, that too... Although I'm not really one to dwell on the unrealized value of any toy in my collection. And if I ever do sell anything, I just look to possibly get back what I originally spent and I would just as quickly spend the proceeds to buy something new to add to the collection. I've never really been a Max guy and back then I had to choose between keeping my 2 1D trainers (one in F-mode or Gerwalk and the other permanently in battroid with those seat accessories), which, to this day, is my favorite VF-1 variant... or give one up and keep the Virgin Road. But if 3Zero decides to make one, then all will be right in the world. IF I did have any kind of foresight back then, I would have invested in something, other than toys, that would make me filthy rich now ✌️ ... and a Merry Christmas to everyone here on MW
  20. My shapeways plastic shoulders are still fine after 10+ years. Heavier metal replacement could stress the connecting plastic part or sag in gerwalk/battroid positions due to weight. edit: metal would also require more precise sizing for the metal rod.
  21. I suppose so! Of course, when I think of "super robots" I tend to fall back on how Japan likes to define the term. A super robot is in the most stringently literal sense a robot that is functionally the same as a comic book superhero. A larger-than-life figure that gets its power from unexplainable or unscientific sources, is impossible (or nearly impossible) to duplicate, is the Last Line of Defense against some evil that the military just can't handle despite being piloted by some random civilian, requires a lot of flamboyant posing and Calling Your Attacks, manifests new powers or weapons as the plot demands, and responds to the operator's heroic willpower or some other special quality in a way that causes it to exceed its specs, and exists to fight Evil in a fairly straightforward Good vs Evil-type narrative. Gundam doesn't usually indulge in those tropes. There are a few titles that flirt with some super robot-adjacent tropes like Gundam Wing having each Gundam be made by a single genius scientist working alone, or G-Reco and G-Witch having a Gundam that can only be piloted by a specific person... but those are usually paired with extensive subversions of the rest. IMO, the main sign of super robot "DNA" in the OG Gundam series was the Gundam's garish paintjob that Tomino so bitterly opposed. Macross's creators were even more gung-ho about realism, which is why they went to the trouble/effort of ensuring the designs included things like aerodynamic control surfaces, the feed systems for bullets, and how the powertrain actually worked to drive a walking robot. (And of course they put a lot of that same energy into GUNSIGHT, which provided an ex-post-facto explanation for same for Gundam.)
  22. Would anyone know if 3d printing the stl file in metal is ideal? Or would it just not work with the way the part is designed?
