So after a recent trip to galloping ghost.. I found a capcom game called Tech Romancer. It came out in 1998 in arcades and also had a Dreamcast port. It has a mech called wiseduck, which is very close to the Monster.. doing some research,, and no wonder https://capcom.fandom.com/wiki/Tech_Romancer Mechanical Design: Shoji Kawamori, Kazutaka Miyatake

Maybe if this were the OG series Enterprise I'd bite, the D is cool, but just not my jam, I still have my massive Playmobil Enterprise so that's good enough for me I guess.

Not to be overly harsh, but I feel like the nacelles are the only shape there that really works well. The angled panel patchwork is a lot harsher when you can't cover it up with greeblies like the Falcon sets. I have to think there are enough angled tiles available to get that edge smoother. Still, will be happy to grab one. I think the colors on the edge of the saucer are causing some issues though. I think I do see a tiny shuttle mounted behind the main bay as well. Actually.. I'm kind of tempted to get two, and rebuild one as the Galaxy-X. I feel like the extra superstructure and phaser cannon would cover up some of the uglier parts.

Zero packing material via Amazon Japan. 😕 What you see is all there was. Inner box looks alright. 🙂 I’ll inspect later.

Wow, that's pretty impressive if those are actual pics of the set. It'll look even better with all the livery, no doubt a lot of stickers. I wonder if it comes with a little shuttle for away missions? Good fig selection. Price is steep, but not unexpectedly so. I imagine both sections can open up for access, so playability looks good, especially with that separable saucer section.

Thanks, man, and an advanced happy birthday to you! I didn't get the large '66 Batmobile, but for sure, I was eyeballing it for parts and I definitely noticed those windshields. I'm not sure what use I'd have for them, though, but they are cool nonetheless. I have soooo many different canopies that I've collected over the years that it'd take probably take me another fifty to use them all. but options are nice. agree with you regarding Bumblebee- just wasn't up to Optimus's level (different designers, and to be fair, Joe Kyde, the designer of LEGO OP used to work for Hasbro designing...you guessed it: Transformers, including a few OP toys, so he had a leg up, so to speak). Sam Johnson, who designed Bumblebee, also designed LEGO Voltron, but his Bee was a little weak coming after Prime. Soundwave, by all appearances, seems to restore faith. I've a ton of Insiders points, so I threw some on an order of Soundwave and the new Speed Champions Lamborghini two-pack. Love the SC sets- little masterpieces in their own rights. Hopefully, I'll be building Soundwave this weekend. I wish you every success on your Shuttle/Carrier redesigns. That set aesthetically just doesn't live up to the Icons Shuttle Discovery set or the Ideas Saturn V Rocket, a masterclass in design.

Not just over the weekend. At least twice now a several posts just vanished. Doesn't look like it was purposeful moderation, in one case it was basically every post over a 14-hour stretch. I don't know if it's happening in other topics or sections of the board, I noticed it hear because this is where I'm most active.- 17480 replies

👆 - It's only the Ozma 25S all I care about. 😁 Yeah, Bandai and those Lego type decals was the motivator to paint all my gundams in military schemes, which turned out to be a better thing.

That Cat is looking good, @pengbuzz!

Happy birthday! Mine's later this month, so I might burn my VIP points and pick up the Shuttle carrier to redesign. That Batmobile does look great though, I might have to grab it. I picked up the big TV Batmobile earlier this year, primarily for the selection of parts (those windshield parts are amazing), but it's an amazing set altogether. Bumblebee didn't convince me, but I might grab that Soundwave though. Otherwise, still searching for options to reshape the shuttle OMS pods.. I might need to pick up a few more small brackets to stack to form the rear thruster banks better, and maybe get the color divisions better.

OK THAT is a new one!!! If you watch the video in the thread above, it is in ENGLISH If you click it and watching on Youtube directly, it is in Japanese. Apparently there is now an auto-dub option? What a crazy world we are living in

Did something odd happen to this thread over the weekend? I've been trying to keep up on the Bruticus news and and it seems some stuff got double posted, some got deleted, I thought I saw more pics of the new Blast Off somewhere but now I'm not seeing them.- 17480 replies

I might beg to differ a bit on the comment in that page regarding the weird detailing "Looking closely, the details are a bit crude and sloppy , but in a way, it's typical of 1980s robots. " Look at the Mospeada cutaways recently posted, or the strike valk poster in the gold book or the other Macross cutaways...the details are far from crude and sloppy in my opinion. Maybe wing flaps/spoilers/slats would be too fragile for handling something so large and bulky, since the wing edges are naturally something you'd granb onto, so they needed to add something interesting for the large wing areas, and came up with the split in half. Its definitely unique. And yes I will still buy one of these even if I find their choice of detailing odd.

Yeah, that fin is huge! I like the solution that Mark divined for it, as it's two parts connected by a single clip and bar. But it looks good, And it utilizes two of the new 1x6 curved slopes, a part that's been desperately lacking in the palette for, well, ever. 😄 2025 is shaping up to be a really good year for new parts that have been notable omissions thus far. Still many more they need to do, but at least they're moving in the right direction. Aw, thanks, man. So very kind of you to say!

Those yard bits make the best ground work for earthy scenes. I’m kinda doing something similar trying to find light grayish small rocks for a bit of a lunar look to mine, and I got an idea for an abandoned outpost or something if I have enough time to slap it all together
