  1. Thank you azrael, those are some very well made points and makes a new purchase a much easier decision now and for sure the design work will be done on the big screen only!
  2. Thanks for you input mikeszekely, you summed it up perfectly with "Apple's Reality Distortion Field" as sometimes I only hear if its not APPLE then your frakked and my inner voice has told me that doesn't seem right. Again not trying to be cheap on my purchase just would rather spend that saved money on Art programs and supplies. I must admit that when it comes to an OS, I do prefer Windows and PC gaming is one of my many guilty pleasures (COD, MOH, etc.) If I did not go the apple route, any suggestions of Laptops you would consider?? Thanks guys!!
  3. Speaking of great stuff MT, what the status of your Daedalus build?
  4. That looks really cool Indigo. The colors go great with the Gadessa!
  5. Hey Guys, I have a few questions about getting a new laptop and couldn't think of a better place to ask. After a 10 year delay I am finally getting my artwork projects off the ground and hopefully they will go somewhere beyond just being a hobby or a wasted skill. As of now I have a 4 year old DELL PC that has been problematic for sometime, my brother has insisted that I get a Mac book pro and nothing else as he put it, Macs are the best and the parts are superior to any other company, especially at running multimedia programs like Adobe, etc. Yet talking to some other people I know they've mentioned TOSHIBA as a good brand and essentially just as good without the HIGH Apple Mac price tag. I don't mind spending the extra money is the MAC is the crap, but if a Toshiba is just as good, a better price, and has the same CORE I7 processor, has a ton or memory & speed what do guys think, opinions welcomed? Also I plan on keeping my 22" DELL monitor, even for a few years old its still a great LCD flat screen,
  6. Sure wish a different network would pick this series up and commit to it if SyFy doesn't honestly care, Hell I'll pay for HBO, Showtime.
  7. Mospeada on bluray, wicked cool!!
  8. Ok, finally saw the trailer, impressed with what I saw, after reading SyFy's opinion of B&C maybe they'll eventually set a date for the 2hr movie.
  9. Good bye Ishiguro-san and RIP, you were loved and respected by so many around the world.
  10. I just got the movie REDLINE yesterday, gonna watch later tonight after some healthy Green beer, maybe a car bomb too!!
  11. Rey or Yellow's bike would be an absolute dream come true! I don't know how to ride one but I learn real fast if one of these existed.
  12. Looks cool Drew carey, while going through some boxes of old artwork I found a stack of Animation cells I did years ago. This is when I really big into EVA.
  13. You have some damn fine taste shiroikaze, excellent post!
  14. Thanks buddy!! Wait til I do a version of SCAR & when the Pegasus comes out
  15. Thanks Peter! Love those F-16s Noyhauser, such a sexy little fighter! Hey Derex, this the paint I used. It was at my local hardware store. Made by Plasti-kote and it is Aluminum. This stuff is awesome as it dries really fast!!
  16. Thanks guys, my next build of a Raider will be Scar, gotta give him some props. As for the painting I used a really simple Aluminum spray paint that when it dries has almost a hammered look to it (Don't have the can in front of me) and it gives it a rippled look like the Raiders had on the show. The instructions for this kit are not very good compared to past Moebius kits, those of you who have one know what I mean. anything that should be dark or light grey I actually used acrylic paints and then applied a dirty orange wash (What is that? I used RIT Dye orange, tan and some yellow). by doing this it took some of the greys off for a extra worn look. Mix it up with a little bit of warm water and apply with a brush, let it sit for a minute or so and then dab it with a light towel, you'll have to do this a few times in some areas, when its all dry and the way you like it, give it a few coats of clear coat and your ready to roll. This Raider reminds of the one Starbuck rammed into and flies back to Galactica. Also, I had my Homer Simpson moment with the instructions on the clear visor as it looks like the piece goes inside the cockpit... Nope it goes on the outside so do not clip the those tiny parts of plastic off, cause they really seem as if they should be removed. A clear red paint works well, though if you have red dye use that. Also, my buddy at the hobby shop said early summer unless things change the Pegasus will be out.... Frak ya!!
  17. That J-20.is one big ass fighter. You wonder how it would handle going toe to toe with a F-22 or even a F-15 (My personal favorite).
