    I've been hearing about this dub of Macross for years. Since I'm not Filipino I never seen it but I want to even if the names aren't correct. I have a few questions about it: Did it share the opening theme song like HG's first Macross dub (the direct to video one) "Super Space Fortress Macross"? Y'know.."Super Space Fortress called Macross!" Was the voice actors all Filipino or did it have the Intersound actors? Essentially, was it HG's dub that was for direct to video but for International market? How come there's no Youtube or Veoh clips?

    Or could be about what it's saying..A triangle. About the love of a boy pilot with a pretty girl (a singer) and his flashy A.I. self aware Valkyrie with a female personality. It'll be like Knight Rider 2020 meets Her.

    When it aired on Encore Action Channel (remember the Encore Action Channel); it aired the 1st three episodes but a few months later the fourth finally aired in a marathon with the other three. Encore used to air Macross 2, Tekkaman Blade 2, Dirty Pair, Gunsmith Cats, Bubblegum Crisis, Darkside Blues, Yoma, Cyber City Oedo, etc, etc...

    I'm just not surprised anymore about anything Macross related in Transformers. There are so many connections between both shows like Shoji Kawamori creating the Convoy (Optimus Prime) toy for Diaclone or Yamato selling the VF-1 mold to HASBRO. I'm sure the TOEI animators for TF weren't ignorant of Macross (Macross was trend setter in transforming mecha shows) and certain scenes were a wink and nod to Macross..

    When I read (I think it was the Invid War comic) and it showed how Dana & company stole Johnathan Wolfe's ship to flee Earth and they were still wearing their SDC Southern Cross uniforms was a little weird to me. It made more sense to me they would wear a NG/Mospeada style uniforms just because of the time frame..

    I think the real problem is..They just asked for too much money. Maybe $200,000 or $250,000 would have been better..If you look at the money the Star Trek fan film generated and what Academy generated they're very close. The overall goal of $500,000 was little outrageous..
