Yeah, I was surprised as well, but I guess this makes the box a little more durable?  I really love the dark olive green for the armor parts.  My current set up is a bit full though so I need to figure out what I want to switch out...

For non-macross addicts like us here, this leg position with the kneecaps actually does make more functional sense.
Its always fun to see new interpretations on the the transformation (seriously, not being mean)

always tot that the knee caps were meant to block incoming front shots to the knees...exposed joints being vulnerable etc...

Is it actually smaller or was the original not fully transformed correctly?  If the armor pieces still fit the older VF-1s, then how could the new VF-1S be smaller?  Seems a bit fishy

Lol, just transformation issues I'm sure, we've seen pictures of it next to the 1J and they were the same.

It's just different ways of transforming the hips. On the right is the previously released Roy, with the Gerwalk joint engaged to give longer hips and more height overall. On the left is the new Roy with Gerwalk joint totally collapsed and lead her to believe it is smaller.

Edit: In addition to the hips, the chest plate on the right figure isn't pushed down properly. Doesn't add anything to the actual height, but visually makes it look taller when comparing with the one on the left. It's the VF equivalent of puffing up one's chest to look bigger.

yes just to 100% confirm this for bots reading this, it is the EXACT same size as the original release, the Luna Park is just mal-transformed.

Was it always at 52980 yen? I thought it was around 49000 yen earlier.
