I would prefer if they were 6" figures, but the faces on those look pretty decent... except for Ezra in that 1st pic... looks constipated or something lol. Quote

Yeah, I much prefer the sculpt on Cadet Ezra: My favorite of the Rebels figures are this two-pack, however. They're not very posable, but they totally nail the aesthetic. Quote

But as with most GI Joe vehicles (especially the planes), it’s very underscaled. Did have fun customizing this Skystriker over a decade ago . Even customized some Cobra killmarks back then to spruce up the bird: Quote

m0n5t3r Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) In hindsight, I've never been so glad to have lost out on a bid I made for a used, first version of this a couple of years ago. Plus this one turned out cheaper than my final bid... Edited December 17, 2025 by m0n5t3r Quote

With the auctions "that got away" from me or where I didn't put a bid in, I generally wound up paying MORE later on. Glad it worked out for you! Quote

Well, it's only around a $20 difference 😅... what I'm more glad about is that I got this updated version, brand new, with what I feel are significant improvements to the figure. I don't usually go for stylized reinterpretations of mecha/robots, but this one feels like this is how GL would look like if the show got a reboot and the animators gave this guy an updated look or design. I still have my old Konami Great Impact GL as the OG anime accurate version in my collection . Quote

I don't actually connect with GL itself as I never watched the anime, but when I first saw the toys it strongly reminded me of character Bishamon in Capcom's Darkstalker fighting game. The demon torso thing is kinda cool, and I bet Capcom used GL as the inspiration for it. Quote
