Otherwise the whole Batman lore now is like cereal in a super market... just endless half empty boxes... As far as his ride, it may have a few additions but may be essentially the same. At least Batman has half empty boxes. Poor Superman had a couple of mixed boxes that didn’t even have enough cereal combined to make a full bowl Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 (edited) On a side note I'm rewatching BATMAN 1989 with my 9 year old daughter. She prefers it over THE BATMAN and Christopher Nolan trilogy. She did mention the gun shot SFX sounds very old. lol Edited March 15, 2024 by TangledThorns Quote

It also feels more like a comic or cartoon than the other adaptations that seem to try to be more and more real world. The newer ones have more appeal to an adult than to a child or teen Quote
derex3592 Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 Never met anyone, younger than me (48) or even older than me, (my dad LOVED the 89 Batman, RIP), that didn't like that movie. It's just one of the all time greats no matter your age. Yes, I do love the first two Nolan movies as well, but 89 Batman is just more "fun". Quote
Thom Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 It was 'gritty,' but it managed to retain its humor and I think a lot of that has to do with Nicholson. Legendary Joker! Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 I'll just post this here since its a movie tie in. I must say the make up for Collin Farrell is excellent. Quote

Remember kids, we're living in the age where everything is "Explosive", "shocking", "will rock the industry", etc... because nothing gets more clicks than click bait. Hell, the whole Youtube algorithm is based off click bait titles. YT channels have specifically said that because if they don't play the game, their video never gets seen by the audience. Same goes for news and "news". If it doesn't come with a blatantly obvious stupid headline, you'll never click on it. Quote

More than half of the links I don't click is because the title sounds too outrageous or click-baity. And there are some I would love to click on and say, 'you know this is b.s.' but then I would have clicked it and that's all it needs! Quote
Roy Focker Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Remember in the 1980's that it wasn't unusual for 3 to 5 years to pass between sequels of your favorite films. I want another good Batman not the fastest. Quote
