Anyone got any air sickness pills? Cuz that's how I feel watching this trailer. It's fun, but I feel nauseated watching it. svomit_100-116.gif

I hadn't even read you comment clicked on the trailer link, but that's exactly what I thought. I mean, I'll watch it in the theater, but I'm not sure I'll make it all the way through that kaleidoscope world effect keeps happening at length,

Wow, that will be mandatory seeing in the theater just to take in all of that scenery.

Maybe because I have the SDCC 2015 Box set but this series holds very little interest for me. It's just lazy, really. They didn't even bother to repaint the Doctor Strange Figure or Brother Voodoo. They didn't repaint Dormammu either but I will credit them with making far more interesting colored flaming skulls than in the Box Set.

- Kaecilius is allied with Dormamu

- Dormamu was kept contained by the Ancient One, using forbidden magic

- the Ancient One gets killed by Kaecilius and so Dr Strange succeeds her as the Sorcerer Supreme

- Kaecilius brings Dormammu to Earth

- Dr Strange defeats Dormamu by using the Eye of Agamotto, which is an Infinity Gem that can control time; he ends up pushing Kaecilius through a vortex and he gets disintegrated by Dormamu

- Baron Mordo is not a villain but a by-the-rules character, who loses faith in the Ancient One and Dr Strange because of their unorthodox ways being too risky

"Dormammu, I've come to bargain!"

Marvel once again hits a home run with Doctor Strange. Originally, I was unsure about Benedict Cumberbatch doing an American accent, but it works perfectly with his stunning portrayal as Dr. Stephen Strange. The visual effects are nothing short of stunning, taking obvious cues from Inception, but adding more kaleidoscope effects in the mix.

There's even some martial arts in this film. I didn't know Scott Adkins (Boyka in Undisputed II-IV, Casey in Ninja) was here until he suddenly gave Doctor Strange his patented "Guyver Kick" in one of the fight scenes.

As for the supporting cast, some work while others are simply there. Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One does okay for a mentor figure. Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer barely has enough screen time as a love interest. And just like majority of the MCU films, this film's Achilles heel is its villain.

Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius is not bad, but his motives are pretty vague to the point where he's less important to the plot than the villains of Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3. And Dormammu, despite his imposing presence and abilities, just gives up after less than five minutes of screen time.

All flaws aside, Doctor Strange is a worthy addition to anyone's Blu-ray collection.

Saw the sydney press screening, and I loved it. Fun, action packed, and made me give a damn about Doc Strange, where previously I hadnt before. Agree with everything A7 said, though i thought the villain had enough charisma and presence to get him through a lot more than some other Marvel villains.

My rankings:

Marvel Cinematic Universe

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron

2. The Avengers Iron Man

3 (tie). Captain America: The First Avenger/Guardians of the Galaxy/Iron Man

4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

5. Doctor Strange

6. Captain America: Civil War

7. Thor

8. Ant-Man

9. Iron Man 3

10. The Incredible Hulk

11. Thor: The Dark World

12. Iron Man 2

Yeah Im cheatin with 3, but i love those movies equally and so so much.
