\I found it quite generic. Not that the game has a well-made lore, worthy of an Oscar, but I'll wait for something more complex when the trailer comes out.

It even made me want to revive an old project of mine, from the days of Gunbound (there, I've revealed my internet age), in which each player was a kidnapper after "entering the game" and whose objective was to "kill" the opponent, and if they died in the game, they would die in real life. Something very Dreamscape, but anyway, I never took it forward, but with so many BR games coming out, I could bring it back with an updated plot.

I was actually about to start watching it. Does the show have a decent enough ending?

It tries to set itself up for a second season but didn't leave me hanging.

I might still try it out.

Finished season five of Unforgotten, and not ashamed the say I got a little teary-eyed there.😢Really good series. I have to see about season six now, and hope that they make another past that, as the creator has said he would probably be leaving the series. That makes its further future uncertain. Sad, but maybe not a surprise seeing how he has written every single episode for all six seasons!

After that, I started Patience, another British procedural crime series. This one centers on an autistic young woman who ends up helping the local police solve crimes. Not as good as Broadchurch or Unforgotten, but entertaining for the character interactions. A down-side is that it seems the police were not able to solve any crimes until she showed up, but the portrayal of the main character is well done, IMO, esp as the actress actually has Autism. One more episode to go this season and the last episode finally had a satisfactory punch to it.

Then it was onto Astrid et Raphaëlle, which is actually the original French series Patience is based on. Gave it a shot out of curiosity and found myself really liking it. Actually better than Patience in some ways, as it shows more of the police angle, which really helps to flesh out the investigations as more than just the main character stepping. This version, Astrid, is also more socially disabled than the Patience-version, and I don't know how accurate it is, but I like too. Looks like I'll be watching both...

We just started watching The Righteous Gemstones on HBO Max. Very Danny McBride (of course!) but still very entertaining!

Walton Goggins as Uncle baby Billy too!

This is another of those shows that I want to start, but my lady says she’s not interested in. I’ll probably have to find time after she goes to bed or something.

The first 3 seasons of Gemstones are solid gold. The season 4 opener is probably the best the of the show, then it gets a bit over the top silly and cringe at times (Uncle Baby Billy for sure) but gets back on track and wraps up nicely. Overall, it's a great series and Danny McBride has definitely proven he's a creditable actor, writer & director. I look forward to his next projects.

I'd also recommend Vice Principals on HBO, there's only two seasons, but they're pretty damn funny. McBride and Goggins again, they work well together.

Watching Giri/Haji on Netflix. It's pretty good so far.

I found this recently by pure coincidence. 4 episodes in and I love it, killer cast and great cinematography & soundtrack.

Four episodes into the new season of King of the Hill and I gotta say, it's absolutely peak. I'd put this season up there with the best seasons, oh which most are, King of the Hill was always great, but for a long time coming revival this season is excellent.

We're in the age of legacy sequels and revivals, some are great, some not so much, this new season of King of the Hill has gotta be one of the best revivals in TV history, not a beat has been skipped, it's firing on all cylinders right from the beginning. It's like slipping into a comfy old pair of shoes, everything is just right, nothing amiss, just absolutely peak King of the Hill, it's good to have the King back, I've really missed this series.
