Megaroad1! of course, most likely no reinforcement. in fact, i wouldn't like any of the known fleets you suggested to suddenly appear, since it would distract a lot from the resolution of all remaining plotlines. we have so precious few minutes left to waste. Now if there's a second season... I'd put my bets on Maximillian Jenius with the new Battle 7, for various reasons. The Macross 7 fleet/settlement (if they setttled) is probably closer, everyone loves Max, and his seiyuu would probably do it. Less likely possibility of somehow Isamu Dyson, Aegis Focker, or Suzie Newtlett, but I really doubt that. Anyway as Cathy stated the problem would be political red tape. The NUN would have to decide whether or not send a fleet in an already hopeless situation and try to stop Galaxy or let Galaxy control the Vajra threatening all. UN Spacy has shown before they can cut their losses in Macross 7 but what we have here are a bunch of Sharon Apple wannabees who is about to pull a Wilbur Garland on all the Human-Zentradi-Zolan hedgemony. I have no doubt that NUN can abandon a fleet or two if for the sake of the whole but the whole is in danger from one of their own not the aliens. If it takes that long for a data transmission to get through, just how long do you think it will take for a fleet to fold there? The closest posible colony would be Varuta or Veil. I assume one of the reasons why Galia 4 was DE by Grace with likely blessing of Leon is that it is the closest outpost to them. So other NUNS worlds and fleets would pick up the message first, they could choose to act of their own accord and move faster than the NUNS government. So I could see any Zent fleets in the area or other colony garrisons that aren't too far away. Now it would be cool if the quarter pounder showed up with a couple more ships,... like maybe a few other SMS ships near by or maybe a small Zent recon element. SMS is a big company after they have to have more ships, but nothing more than a little extra fuel to the fire of the battle already raging. But I think Ozma is going to square of with Grace, Alto with Brera. Perry is going to mutiny and square Battle25 off with Battle21. Quarter is gonna play sniper, kill the Dulfim and weaken Battle21 so Perry can finish the job. This is of course after Ozma shoots down Grace freeing Brera so he can free Ranka's mind and make piece with the bugs so frontier can survive. Remember, the current Vajra are immune to reaction warheads and the previous generation of Valkyrie arms and missiles. The only weapon that would help would be the Macross cannon and maybe some fighter melee moves, but the casualties would be astronomical. The best thing the UN could do was double weapons research and fold wave jamming so the Vajra can't adapt to future weapons. (Galactic Whales) Make great for fold engines but ruins computers and damages machines. Oh their protected by law. Being natural fold capable creatures like Vajra. When the dust settles, we find out it's not really Minmei, but that NUNS resurrected the Sharon Apple AI. So it all ends, everyone cheers, credit rolls, etc........ After the credits it shows Sharon Apple AI has designs of its own, when it takes control of Brea, has him shoot Ranka, and then there is an "aaaaaaarg noooooo", and it ends. Season 2.
