Where O Where is Vrlitwhai?

Where in the entire sphere of the NUN is Vrlitwhai Kradanik?

One of the founding fathers of the New UN. (The other being Global)

I think we sufficient evidence that by 2040 Vrlitwhai is no longer in charge of UN Spacy.

General Gomez while being a hippie about the unification of humans and Zentradi is a proponent scrapping pilots for Ghosts.

I don't think Vrlitwhai will agree with this.

In 2046 Macross 7 UN Forces Command wanted the rogue uncultured Meltran fleet destroyed.

I don't think Vrlitwhai would approve of this. Especially if Macross 7 was outnumbered 500 to 1.

Also in 2046 UN Command practically abandoned Macross 7 to be fed to the Protodevlin like those old geezers in High Command that wanted to kick out the SDF-1 Macross off Earth.

Considering that Vrlitwhai had friends in that fleet he would not want that to happen.

In 2051 during Wilbur Garland's coup no sign of him.

So what did happen to our beloved giant "bad ass" supreme commander?

I think Vrlitwhai started to lose influence due to backstabing politicking in UN Spacy and politicians.

Note in 2030 the Second Defensive battle of Macross City's aftermath giant Zentradi were prohibited from Earth's surface.

Likely Vrlithwai took office somewhere esle outside the Macross.

His command may have lasted till 2039 as General Gomez is quite a big shot.

Now speaking against Gomez on the Ghost project may be a bad move politically as Gomez was vitriolitic advocate of unification.

Now bastards like Leon and Galaxy Anonymous treating their citizens like pawns NUNS has fallen from their former glory.

Where O Where is Vrlitwhai?

"Minmay@vectorpromotions.co.fr"?

We've never seen him in his miclone form. Maybe he has a embarrassing genetic problem like Klan/is much scruffier in his old age? And that is why we've never seen him in his miclone form. :)

According to compendium chronology he became UN Spacy Commander in 2016.

In the 30th aniversary of the end of Space War 1 we don't see him just some human and miclone Zentradi UN officers and a politician talking about humans and Zentradi being together.

We know Sharon Apple happened. Makes me wonder if Vrlitwhai was involved with the Vajra first contact as it happened in the same year.

Maybe, maybe he retired, got married, had kids, and died a happy grandpa (or great grandpa). Or maybe he left in search of Hikaru, Misa, and co when he learned they were lost - which happened the same year that he became the UN Spacy Commander.

Didn't his VO actor die like a couple years after DYRL?

That might be why you don't see him.

The voice actor died in 1985, pull this from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiji_Kanie

"Eiji Kanie (蟹江栄司, Kanie Eiji; November 21, 1941-October 13, 1985) was a seiyuu born in Tokyo. He is most remembered for being the first voice of Ramenman in Kinnikuman and for playing Vrlitwhai Kridanik in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. He died in 1985 of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. After his death, Banjou Ginga replaced him as Ramenman.

Years later, Ryūzaburō Ōtomo would play Vrlitwhai Kridanik in the Macross and Super Robot Wars video games."

Ranka's Oji-san? ^_^

*Imagines him doting little Ranka and little Brera*

Well Global has been confirmed to die of old age I can't just see that with Vrlitwhai.

Max and Millia are still around so I doubt that.

Or the plate in his head makes him unmiclonable.

I think that he probably went out with the Megaroad One fleet. That'd be a heck of a loose end to leave dangling around. Kawamori really doesn't want to revisit all those old characters. I guess, in a way, we are lucky that we got more Max and Millia in 7.

I think Kawamori said he didn't want to do Misa, Hikaru, and Minmay anymore. Not that he never wanted to see a single original character again.

And you forgot Roy's role in Zero.

I doubt it. I don't think that the UN Government would appoint someone as head of the UN Spacy when he's light-years away from the seat of government.

His appearance in super robot wars with a different seiyuu suggests that he is not off-limits for reappearances unlike Hikaru

Yeah, but to be fair, Hikaru also has a different seiyuu in both the Super Robot Wars and Another Century's Episode series.

I think Kawamori just has a preference not to bring back Hikaru.

Afaik he wasn't in command of his old Nupetiet Vergnitzs anymore (which left Earth as escort ship for the Megaroad 01)... Since the U.N. appointed him Commander of the U.N. Spacy in 2016.

So no, he didn't... <_<

He stayed on Earth.

Hmm, here's a theory, what if he had to resign to save face after whatever insurrection it was that occurred in 2030 that also caused macronized Zentrans to be banned from Earth?

I find that supposition very very probable. I bet he retired and became a civilian... Or a military advisor of sorts... (maybe he was even a consultant for the DYRL movie?) ^_^

well, he could have escorted Megaroad 1 for a while in 2012, then came back by 2016 after his tour of duty. then he was appointed UNS commander.

Is this a joke? I can't tell if it's being said sarcastically.

Why? Macross F has the President of the New UN Government on the Macross Frontier fleet, light years away from the center of the territory that is under his leadership. (By this, I mean the area centered on Earth, and am presuming that territories brought into the UN Government occured relatively equally in all directions from Earth.)

Well Glass is only the President of the Frontier New UN Goverment not the President of the entire NUN.

Leon had the title of fifth president of Frontier meaning Glass was the fourth.

Which fits as they are traveling for 12 years in space.

Vrlitwhai I think had a greater responsibility in protecting the interstellar growing New UN.

There are still 2000+ Zentradi main fleets and Supervision Army out there.

It is feasible that the unity government set up of the NUN was reverted back to a league of nations set up as more and more planets and fleets are represented in it.

Earth being the headquarters of NUNS. They still have the Adoclass fleet around don't they?

Which would still mean that he wasn't lost along with the Megaroad-1, which was what was implied by him escorting them.

the confusion arose when the official macross F website designated Glass as President of the entire NUNG. which presupposes a mobile seat of power (which also ties in with the general concept of space emigration).

Actually we don't know. Considering they were clones expected to bit the dust in combat not live a healthy peaceful life.

It seems to me that not ALL of them were expected to die in combat.

They have different "classes" of clone, fit to different tasks.

You've got the cannon-fodder grunts, sure. And the damn good grunts, like Millia.

But you also have archivists like Exedol that were expected to live as walking knowledge repositories, and clearly aren't suited for combat roles.

And then there's commanders like Britai. They're "built" to a more durable standard(Britai himself said so after being spaced, and him and Bodolza both tower over the regular rank-and-file zentradi). Presumably because a highly-experienced commander is infinitely more useful than a fresh-from-the-test-tube commander.

Britai's plate implies this too. Assuming it was a patch-up after an injury, it means it was worth trying to save his life instead of just finishing the job and popping a new Britai out.

If it's an implant that offers him information beyond what he can see and hear, along the lines of the BDI system, it means command zentradi are harder to make, because the implant can't be grown like everything else.
