Duymon Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Finally a new announcement in the Aoshima ACKS line. No real surprise to see the griffon, just hope they also get to TV unit 3 Quote
Duymon Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Threezero reactive armored Ingrams are great. Just need for unit 3 to finally ship Quote
Big s Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Definitely curious about this one not sure if it’s gonna use that garbage bag style plastic covering or if it will just be stylized plastic joints as kind of a redesign like they did with evangelion. Quote

Those garbage bag coverings are definitely not my favorite choice, but I think it wouldn’t be too hard to make custom cloth coverings using them as a base pattern. Still very curious about how they’re gonna handle this release. Quote
Graham Posted January 20 Posted January 20 As it's an RG, it's likely gonna be small. So my guess is they won't use cloth covers and will just have the joint covers as stylized plastic joints. Quote

Was kinda wondering if they’d do that, but then again the last time they did a kit smaller than a mg, they did the trash bags. The old ones had rubber covers, so they have done other options in smaller scale before. All they really gave here is a silhouette, so I guess we’ll wait and see. Quote
Duymon Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) Pretty gnarly that the helldiver and zero will also make appearances in the show Edited January 22 by Duymon Quote

Big s Posted February 10 Posted February 10 These are up for preorder tonight along with a lot of rereleases in case anyone missed out Quote

Sometimes moderoid takes a little break to do other things and then comes back with some great surprises. There’s still a couple designs I’m waiting and hoping for, but they really have pumped out a lot of things from the franchise I didn’t expect Quote
Duymon Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) oooh new Bandai RG 1/48 Ingram plus It looks great. Just kinda frustrated that everyone currently making patalbor are doing them in different scales XD Good Smile Moderoid is 1/60 Aoshima ACKs is 1/43 Kaiyodo Artpla and Threezero Robodou are 1/35 Now Bandai RG at 1/48 Also I pray Bandai doesn't ditch the line after only 1 or 2 releases. oh wait who am I kiddin ☠️ Edited February 16 by Duymon Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Nice, 1/48 is a good scale for Patlabor that I can get behind and the RG kit looks like a fun build. Quote
Big s Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Looks pretty cool, but kinda weird they went with 1/48. They usually do something more like a smaller scale for RG kits to be closer to hg size. I think the mg ones were 1/35 if I’m not mistaken and the kit they did for the live action trash bag joint kit was 1/48 and I think their old kits were 1/72, but my memory is a little fuzzy on these. Looks like they’re doing the hard plastic joints on this one rather than trash bags. Overall I think it looks better than the render for the actual upcoming show or movie or whatever. I think that one made the legs look too straight and dull, while this kinda gets the roundness back Quote

Then there’s all the random vehicles at all kinds of scales 2 hours ago, Duymon said: Also I pray Bandai doesn't ditch the line after only 1 or 2 releases. oh wait who am I kiddin ☠️ I think their track record is pretty bad with the franchise, this may be just a one off, or there may be a variant. But I wouldn’t keep your hopes up. But at least it’ll keep the trash bag buddy some company Quote

Otherwise, it would probably happen a lot more. 😉 Quote

Duymon Posted Tuesday at 11:35 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:35 AM I hope the implentation of the PIlot seat movement is at least as good as the Aoshima ACKS version that uses the backpack armor plate to lock the seat in up or down position, and let's you slide in the hatch door for the fully enclosed pilot. Looks like everything will close up, but not sure about the pilot rising up or not. I bet a video will be coming soon to show the gimmicks Quote
