  1. Spoiler tags if at least only for this weekend for those of you have seen it. I'll be avoiding this thread until next after next weekend. Also IM spoof.
  2. Exactly. It's a wait and see game now.
  3. What the heck is Mode Mode?
  4. Lum's nothing without Ataru Moroboshi, the immortal lech. Still waiting on my local supplier to get me one.
  5. Oneechanbara isn't a gore/schlock fest like this looks like. This one does have Sora Aoi running around with a chainsaw though....
  6. Boring. Not Gaiking without the Giant tapeworm and the Godzilla roar.
  7. Sent transfans52 a PM to change his avatar/or other image that he's hosting on animeuknews.net
  8. Anyone know how to navigate to get Ryƫ_ga_Gotoku_4(Yakuza 4) demo from the Jp PS store that came out March 5th? Played it on a store PS3, want it, can't find it on PSN-Jap.
  9. Finally got around to getting a copy and watching it. Haven't been this excited about a Gundam series since CCA. As others have said, finally a Gundam that captures the Gundam feel! Maybe SEED/Wing boys will finally understand the awesomeness of U.C. Damn right! Wussies! and if you're Brite you'll beat them up for the sure hell of it!
  10. I'm supposed to be facing Orphen or whatever the final stage is but I went through the portals to try to complete the Ci'eth Missions. Ci'eth Mission 47 and Giant Cactuar are kicking my ass. Might have to come back and do those missions after beating the game.
  11. Yeah. Uh huh. Uh huh. Thanks for coming by.
  12. This really is off topic so I'll respond here once more but if you want to talk about it make a new thread. NP. Price point again can be argued about quantity produced and distribution. Global mass production argument vs region market obviously. The more accessories argument doesn't work on the VF-1. That things got plenty. The Mac Plus's, and later ones I would've liked to have more missiles and accessories but that's the way it goes with later produced Macross toys. Even Bandai does this with their Macross Frontier toys with the Sound Packs, Ghost packs, Armor packs AND they make it a web exclusive to the Japan market. Bandai sucks as much/more balls then Yamato for that piece of work. I've got Dancouga, Gunbuster, Irongear, Godmarz, Zambot etc. Without taking Zambot out from the display case IIRC it's got crap knee articulation, same with Godmarz. Dancouga's head will pop off if inverted(think it was fixed later but I don't have that version). It's also a hat and shoe mech, though the feet robot are cool but fragile. Gunbuster was awesome. IronGears still a brick but it's got some slightly better knees then the old DX and it's transformation hasn't changed much since the old $10 plastic version I had. Sure their(SoC) 2nd form looks anime-accurate but with the exception of Gunbuster, when you're a pull apart/reassemble super robot it's alot easier then going from a robot to sleek plane with NO ROBOT PARTS hanging out. That no robot parts applies to the ROTF Transformers too. If you flip the vehicles over/side view you can definitely tell what's robot and shouldn't be visible in that mode. (Ignoring SoC since you've already acknowledged them as being an amalgamation of different shows...) There's the difference. In Macross the planes don't have character or personalities other then what the pilots put into them . They're also mass produced military planes so it makes sense for them to be the exact same design with the only distinguishing pattern the colour stripe. At most there are only 4 different main valkyries of the same mold to collect from each series. If you want to collect the CF and other weird coloured once that are shown in the background once and never again well that's your choice isn't it? Transformers actually do the countless takes on the same mold but mostly on the Decepticons side since they're the bad guys and are cannonfodder anyways. How many different variations of the same Seeker jets are there? Then there's the billion Battle Ravages/Dive Bombs in (Energon)? and the red/blue/yellow thing in Cybertron. Hasbro definitely milks those mold. As for countless Optimus Prime trucks.....doesn't Prime change his body every six months anyways? Ignoring the "white" Ultra Magnus versions or the "black" Nemesis ones too... I will admit that there are alot of good unique figures in TF too. Cybertron Evac is still one of my favourites. See above for my reply about Robot Parts hanging off vehicle mode.
  13. Didn't even know the thread existed. As Gubby said his "rules" aren't endorsed by the admin team so as far as I'm concerned right now .... (read between the lines here) On the positive note it did create an area where the 3D guys are actually starting to post and post images again so that's a plus. Again this is personal comment not an endorsement. As far as your No Mod rules go.....neener neener neener!!!
  14. SoC are able to be produced and marketed and sold for areas outside of Japan. (HK collectible editions, Phillipines, etc etc) Macross stuff is limited to Japan only. This is why you don't see Macross stuff but you do see SoC distributed by Diamond. You can go to the HG and Robotech thread in the Other Anime section and ask about that there. Superior quality of SoC? Materials or design? Design: most of the SoC stuff, though awesome, are simple cylinder and blocks. Not many of them transform and the ones that do the secondary mode does not look anywhere as good as the Yamato planes. Materials: I'd say they were on par. I've got broken SoC's as well as cracked Yammie shoulders. I'll agree with part of the price arguement. Completely disagree with the TF assessment. Bandai DX...haven't followed anything but the SoC's. No comment.
  15. Hey what is this Robotech thread doing in the Macross Toy area?! >EXO<!!!
  16. I usually login after 8pm est. Sometimes it's updated sometimes it's not. It's a crap shoot.
  17. Valve says that it's going to be simultaneous release dates for Mac/PC/360 games from now on for their games. Well have to see. "We looked at a variety of methods to get our games onto the Mac and in the end decided to go with native versions rather than emulation," said John Cook, Director of Steam Development. "The inclusion of WebKit into Steam, and of OpenGL into Source gives us a lot of flexibility in how we move these technologies forward. We are treating the Mac as a tier-1 platform so all of our future games will release simultaneously on Windows, Mac, and the Xbox 360. Updates for the Mac will be available simultaneously with the Windows updates. Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe, sharing servers, lobbies, and so forth. We fully support a heterogeneous mix of servers and clients. The first Mac Steam client will be the new generation currently in beta testing on Windows."
  18. Steam coming to Mac. http://kotaku.com/5488375/left-4-dead-2-te...to-mac-in-april Best thing is if you buy a game for Win you can re-download it on the Mac for free! (and vice versa I think). No more dual booting for L4D2! Woot!
  19. IIRC those Trex saddlebags are fairly recent. I know we usually turn a blind eye towards recast talks of older hard to find items/kits but really already talking about recasting some WF fan made items? Not cool.
  20. That's because you needed the PS1 memory card to save. The PS3 creates a virtual memory card on your hard drive for your PS1 and PS2 type games.
  21. This is NOT the RT: Warzone. You want to to discuss RT, here ya go, nice sandbox and all. Buh bye! If you make me come in here to deal with racist crap or stuff or other whatnot crap I'm going to start selecting which hammer to use. 5lb? 10lb? 50lb? hmmm.....decisions decision.....
  22. One step closer to the Macross Cola robot. http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/01/paparaz...-you-love-them/
