  1. I think this is the kit Roger mentions above:
  2. What are you going to be doing with it? Everyday commuter? I'd go for one of the Hondas if so. Lots of upgrades available for almost everything else on your list if you want to do anything to it. I'd personally stay away from the VW - VW's are the Bic Lighter of the automotive world * Edit - No offense, VF1 Strike Valk! I quite like your Corrado, like YLM says, probably the best of the watercooled VWs.
  3. Yarp. Good catches on the stbd wing root and "hump". The retention boom for the Legioss looks different than the 1/72, too. Sorry that the zoomed shots look like amateur UFO snap-shots (but actually, they kind of are) *Edit - Jeremy, that's from the B-Club Artmic Design Works book (mentioned a few posts up on the last page).
  4. I took some quickie pictures instead of risking my spine on a scan. The details are very difficult to make out, but it definitely does not look like the 1/72... See what you guys think:
  5. No, he is actually right. The advertisement in question is in the B-Club Artmic Design Works book. There is what appears to be an ~1/35 TREAD and Legioss in flight above the posed 1/35 Legioss that is the subject of the photo. What is not clear is what sort of mock-up or model the TREAD might be, as it is backlit and kind of tough to make out detail. I'll see if I can get a scan of it later.
  6. Takatoku 1/55 VF-1D Prototype. It was featured in a TV commercial. Someone else will have to post the picture. It's so rare, that even Google Images will not net it.

    Favorite Valk

My all-time favorite valk is currently tied between a 1/48 Hikaru VF-1J, and a 1/60 VF-1A CF. It would be a highly technical post to explain exactly why, but suffice to say that the new wave of toys circa '02 really stoked my interest anew.
  8. Excellent job. I shall endeavor to be less spam-like in my postings, if at all possible
  9. Try some Barry White. Valks, baby.
  10. Yeah, surprised that it's not locked yet... All this talk of Velcro and sticking-in-holes
  11. One of the online retailers mentioned there being a secret valk, so here's to hoping... (Elint, Elint, Elint) Regarding the wing-sweep, I think that they will technically ALL do wing sweep, it's just that all the previous Supers had their wings glued. Bet that if you worked the wings on your de-missiled 1S and 1Js, they would eventually free up.
  12. Should be about $45.00 or so.
  13. I agree with the both of you. It's a nice bike. I also agree that the large Gakken is the best yet.
  14. Got my "on the water" notice from TMP about a week ago. Will soon possess SV-51. Check.
  15. Looks pretty ok in armor mode, but that bike... It would be nice if someone did a sculpt that was more heavily biased toward the cycle mode.
  16. $60.00-$65.00 + Shipping $55.00 + Ship Normal for the armor. $65.00 + Ship $25.00 + Ship That's a TRU 1A. Too bad it's loose.$25.00 + Ship Hope this helps.
  17. I went looking for some of the same info about a month ago. Found some good threads here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...1&hl=custom http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...3&hl=custom ...and here... Specific Mods: Thigh-Swivel Mod - Skull-1 Thigh-Swivel Mod - BigF Nose Blister Mod and some cool links here... Examples BigF Custom Chunkie Jasonc VT-1 KidKorrupt's Homepage KidKorrupt's Portfolio Jung's Homepage Skull-1 VT-1 Skull-1 1J "Harriska"
  18. Chunky loving is not all that it's made out to be
  19. Yep, like Graham, it depends upon the valk... However, mine are mostly pointing forward in various degrees. The 1Ss and 1As point forward, like ~45 degrees on the S and 60 degrees on the As. The 1J's I run at about 10 degrees forward.
  20. Thanks for the link/heads-up. I just caved and preordered one
  21. Bah. I'm sure they'll appear sometime. Might be 2015, but they'll eventually release 'em.
  22. Yep, there is just something about those chunkies... Yamatos are cool and all, but the 1/55s just have soul that the newer stuff can't match.
  23. To add to that list, ser. 2 is: 1) Hikaru DYRL 1A, 2) Max 1J, 3) VT-1 Ostrich, 4) Minmay Paris Act, 5) Roy 1S Super, 6) Hikaru DYRL 1A Super If there's going to be a chase figure, I'd really like a VF-1D or a VE-1. Other possibilities might be a Kakizaki 1A (in DYRL or TV trim, super or non), DYRL Max 1A, DYRL Max 1S, or even cooler, a Rabbit-Shuttle Since I've got twenty of these on order (2 boxes), there should be plenty of spares to go around once I've picked out my set. To help people avoid Ebay fleecing, I'll be happy to offer up my extras to board members at cost.
  24. I don't rightly know. I guess, someone's got to do it
  25. Yep, me too, my old nemesis.
