My valk is bleeding, apparently. It appears the red plastic has been damaged from the stand piece. Nothing big - you have to look closely for the damaged part - but it's still disturbing. I checked the other 1/60's I have on the stands, and nothing wrong with those, but the rubber nubs were on the white plastic parts, not the colored pieces. I have my VF-27 on one of these stands, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. So I have no idea what to think of these right now. I see other people have had damage, and only one of my valks has had any damage...

They could have, but like you said, the fast packs really don't seem to add anything. Makes me feel better since I wasn't going to pay extra for them anyways.

LOL. People are still debating if it is red or pink? It's red. RED! There are various shades of red, just like any other color, but in the end, it is red. Collectors really get me. Honestly, it's the first hero valk from MF that we've received that seems to be what the original VF-25s should have been. Sure, a few things are off, but I for one am very excited to get this puppy.

Wow, I totally forgot the 27 had removable intake covers. I have no idea where mine are...

The only problems I've had with my 27 is the shoulders. They're a bit loose now, but otherwise still holds up well. Everything else is still perfectly fine. I have had absolutely no problems with the paint. I've transformed mine a couple dozen times at least, and so far so good. I think it's a quality toy. I got mine back in Oct 2010. I didn't handle it for a couple months but I recently transformed it last night after all the hype for the 29, and I still love it. This is coming from a guy who was disappointed with the Macross Zero toys and hated the 25.

Anyone have any idea of what kind of plastic was used on this thing? I really like the quality and gloss of the 27, but hated the plastic on the 25. Made it feel cheap. what would you say for people who hated the 25, but loved the 27 like me?

I hope you are right. I would KILL for a Hi Metal VF-25. KILL! Okay, I wouldn't kill, but I'd do something drastic, that's for sure.

Yeah, I suspected as much. Amiami has a bunch for sale also and it says the stock is from Aug 2010, which is totally misleading. It implies it's a second run, when it's not. When I called them on it, they said they didn't know whether it was smooth pins, just that it's a second shipment they got. Looks like this is all just old stock. Sucks dude. Maybe someone here can hook you up with new shoulders.

Yeah man, the reviews are better than CDX usually. I like how the reviews are updated with news of breaks or QC issues, with comparison pictures for size, etc. As for Angolz, I believe they sponsor CDX and give them some free stuff to review sometimes. Not 100% sure about the latter, but I think Angolz helps them out a lot with broken stuff, etc. There are a few times when they'll mention the got the toy and something broke off, only to get a replacement from the dude at Angolz. I've only ordered one thing from Angolz and it went fine. @Tking22 When you get them in a few months, please post some pictures of the whole skull squad.

Yeah man. They need to throw him a free toy now and then at the very least. It's like sites like CollectionDX. I buy stuff based mostly off the review of others. It's very rare when I buy a Macross toy at first sight.

I think if you placed the order when it said low stock, you should be fine. I've never had problems buying low stock that went to backordered soon after.

The combined price for these, plus markup by whomever gets it to me, has now officially put this line out of reach for me. The thing is, I can't just buy one Vf-1A. I'm gonna want them all. So unless there is a massive dry spell in toy from now until Summer, I am officially tapped out of this line. At this point, I am debating cancelling my Roy I have on backorder precicely because there would be no point for me if I couldn't have the whole Skull Squad. I think what I'll do is focus on getting the TV Max and Kakizaki 1/60 VF-1As instead.
