  1. Roy. Hands down.
  2. So I just ordered one from Amiami. Finally decided to go for it after getting the 1/100 messiahs from HLJ for 60% off. Can't wait to throw them all on my shelf! Any QC issues I should know about? I guess it doesn't matter anyway since I already bought it.
  3. You could save yourself the trouble and just buy my loose SV-51 Nora from me Definitely cheaper than HLJ rigt now. Seriously, buy mine.
  4. It's just a reality we have to deal with and to be fair I am very fortunate I can even afford luxuries as toys and still save comfortably for retirement. I did of course stop collecting Other lines so I could afford more macross toys. It is what it is.
  5. Yeah this day and age I don't know too many people that can afford to collect macross valks. Just look at all the people waiting for big sales now. I just bought a monster but only cause it was 30% off. I suspect in the future you will see a change in how these things are produced and sold for by both bandai and Yamato
  6. So that's 7875 yen for each toy (valk + fast pack). Yeouch.
  7. You do. You need it. It's more important than water. I already have one MIB and I am trying to convince myself that I don't need a second to open! haha. Seriously. Someone stop me before I bankrupt myself. I should sign some sort of directive like if I become a vegetable, to just pull the plug. Well, if I buy too many Roy valks, just shoot me.
  8. Sale is back on. Edit: Never mind. People already know.
  9. I would so buy that.
  10. Sigh. Those Revoltechs were such a disappointment. I was excited when I first saw them, only to be really let down.
  11. Not into statues, but that is nice. Really wish someone would release a fully articulate Sheryl. I'd buy that no problems.
  12. I have the one with the super parts and it also has the clear canopy and new crotch. Same with the Kakizaki, and hopefully, the Hikaru if they ever get around to re-releasing it.
  13. I'm with this guy. Duct tape. Stat.
  14. Yeah, good point. I keep forgetting we're not their intended audience.
  15. That's what's called a "Merry Fedex Christmas."
  16. That's really cheeky. They make all but Roy and the VF-1J available through the web exclusive, and charge a premium price, and then sell the Super Parts separate, again as a web exclusive. With the price to buy and ship these all, you might as well buy the 1/60 Yamato versions if you have the space. This line is hella expensive for what you get. I mean, I still really like these, but looks like I'll be stopping with the VF-1S. The rest are just too darned expensive to afford.

    Bandai SD Infinite

I haven't heard anything, but judging by how quickly this sold out, and everyone being sold out, with none on eBay, I figure the demand is there for more.
  18. HLJ has their Macross Frontier sale on right now. Up to 80% off. Picked up all three of the 1/100 figures. I know they're a pain, but at $20-$25 a pop, that's not bad. They have some statues and figurines of the female characters in their sale.

Ordered one through HLJ after months of looking at this thing online. Backordered for now, which is fine, since I have other stuff I need to buy.
  20. Ha! Yes, the majority of Macrossworld for sure. At the end of the day, if a collector really wants these, they'll pay for them. They're great toys, and I admit I've been handling my VF-1J Hi Metal more and more these past few days.
  21. lol. That would be cool. I go to Seattle all the time! I love going to the States to buy toys because it's so much cheaper and selection is way better since we don't have places like Target (Zellers doesn't count, since they don't carry everything Target does). Even our Walmarts aren't as good. My girlfriend goes to the outlet malls, and I go hit the toy stores. It's a win-win. As for the VF-11C, I only remembered that after I had paid for my VF-1s. Ah well. Maybe next time. That was confusing.
  22. Nice. I want a VF-11C.
  23. Unfortunately, taxes, like Hockey, are synonymous wih being Canadian. It's a fact of life. I commend you giving them the details of our tax system (I'm in Vancouver), but I have little hope anything will come of it. A logo is a very important business tool. Establishing a logo and brand name takes years and lots of money, and it's not something businesses will readily give up. Even if it is just on the outside box. Surprisingly, I have only been dinged by customs once or twice, and I have bought from HLJ more often than I can remember. Both my big Valkyrie orders recently didn't get hit with anything and arrived safely. Actually, none of my valkyrie orders ever got hit with any extra taxes, and I've bought 6 valkyries in the past year. Maybe I've been fortunate. But whenever I order from BBTS, I always get slapped with taxes. Happens 8 out of 10 times. Drives me nuts. The BBTS tape all over the box is like a lightning magnet for customs officials. Alas, it is the price you pay for being Canadian and ordering overseas. You pay, and pay, and pay, and pay... And I never use Fedex or EMS unless it's the rare occasion when EMS is cheaper than SAL. Since we have a port here in Vancouver, EMS and SAL reach me at about the same time, give or take a day or two.
  24. Yeah, M&M and even the DYRL VF-1A are all web exclusives I think, which will put it out of reach for most collectors outside of Japan. It's almost like they got cold feet and pulled back from wide release or something. I don't know. at any rate, this line is looking like it's more for people who are diehard fans that have lots of expendeble income to spend on such a small toy.
  25. lol. You basically went full hog, didn't you? Dude, if I had the money, I would have done the same thing...
