well, there is such a thing as non-physical abuse. call it verbal, psychological or whatever, a girl can be in an abusive relationship even if her partner never lifts an actual finger against her. i'd say kaifun is one such abuser.

don't most good managers do that, once the talent has outlived his or her profitability? i guess it all boils down to the definition of a "good" manager. a manager who stays by my side through bad or good, if he doesn't have the faintest clue of how to even get to the "good" part isn't that much of a manager to me. i'd just get a friend. hehe.

hey why you all hating on grace as a manager. if we go by "best manager", defined as someone who can make you the greatest star ever, then grace is among the best. after all, she turned a street kid into the biggest thing since sharon apple. for WORST manager, it would have to be Kaifun. aside from the fact that i hate the guy, the best he could come up with were concerts where minmei was paid with canned goods and liquor. and besides, minmei was already popular even before he came in. in fact, i think her popularity may have taken a dive by the time he was the manager. oh.. and where's Honey???

a bit OT, but since this thread is about a macross/BSG crossover... have you seen the hard-ass space battle sequences in BSG (reimagined)? THAT is how i want a live-action macross to look like. grit, realism, heavy chunky weapons going at it full speed. The film photography of the BSG battle scenes is amazing. there's a particular scene in the mid season finale where the camera pans into galactica, following the wobbly trail of an incoming missile. and i sat there imagining milla's point of view as she makes an attack on the macross.... wow.

I think it would depend on how you want your scene to go. while hearing the song, do you want to impress upon the readers that your colonials are longing for earth? indifferent? confused? irritated? What reactions would you like them to have after realizing the significance of the song? elation? disbelief? anger? energized? what's the significance that the song is supposed to have? and finally, what's your fanfic? comedy? serious? purely parody? start from these questions, and you'll eventually find your perfect song...

damn, that's a tough one. Used to be Megumi for me. such a smooth voice. i had doubts about mayn's range. but lately, mayn's been more consistently great to listen to,whereas Megumi's voice is starting to get boring. sigh. wussed out and voted "equal". (yeah, booooo, i know). but blend their voices together, and it just becomes perfect. (most likely the same resolution of their "rivalry" by the end of the series).
