  1. I agree. i doubt that Galia IV is the home planet of all vajra. most likely it's just the adapted planet of the vajra that attacked the Global. Given the sheer volume of vajra in the area of space near frontier, i'd expect their actual home planet (if any) to be literally SWARMING with vajra. But as for your last statement, damn you NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  2. Now we're into the effects of food combos?? Man, this science is getting more complicated every day.
  3. Now whoever said there's a shortage of food in the Frontier?
  4. Or even if she is the 9th of anything, doesn't mean that she was the 9th to be experimented on. it could just mean she was the 9th person they tried to make into an idol of minmei proportions.
  5. jeezus christ. ok, you're way holier than everyone here. we get it. so why are you still posting in a thread full of what you presume to be perverts jacking off to a "cartoon". Actually... why did you read the thread in the first place? sad that a light-hearted topic suddenly turned into a debate...
  6. I doubt the majority's first instinct upon seeing that scene was to turn horny all of a sudden... (oh well, i guess with some exceptions, from the other posts i've read.) I'm sure most reacted the way you did. they laughed. me, i found it absolutely funny. But you're right, some people should really lighten up. jeez, someone mentions the word "erotic" and they suddenly turn into hypocritical prudes. Besides, the fact that they're posting here and reading the thread reveals that thay're at least curious as to what passes off as "erotic" in a "cartoon".
  7. I've always espoused that "Howard Glass as the president of the entire NUNG" is by far the more interesting concept. but for now, either one works for me. as for the senate, i wonder if it's an in-frontier senate, or a senate dispersed among all the macross fleets and planets. Or both?
  8. If there's a singular "Queen Mother" that controls all Vajra, then that's your "weakness" right there. kill the head, and it's all over.
  9. Oh come on now, since when has sexuality been limited to the younger ones? i REFUSE to believe that! hehe. I think there is still a distinction between those who noticed some "sexual tension" in a particular scene and those who are actually and honestly "turned on" by a scene or a character...(you know who you are!!). the first is, i think, a valid topic of discussion. the second... well... to each his own... hehe. I guess "erotic" was just not the right word to use.
  10. Then that would be me just on your left!! haha.
  11. If Flashback 2012 is indeed the final word on the Triangler, it would be much easier to let them go. Or if you still can't, at least you already know who to ask... "God? Are you there? If there's just one question in my life that you could answer for me...."
  12. By now, sheryl is re-reading her blog and saying, "well i sure don't feel so awesome today...."
  13. ok calm down. you might want to watch the series again. Grace said in ep 14(?) that "frontier didn't know that we were the ones who led the vajra to frontier". and as far as Frontier is concerned, they have just been defending their turf. it would seem the same is true for the Vajra. If grace's faction did not lead the vajra to frontier, they might have left it alone. the vajra were quite satisfied staying in one area of Galia IV, even though there were some humans and zentraedis hanging around nearby. (which goes to show that they just defend their turf, much like the humans). so here's where the hate comes in. Grace destroys Galia IV, and leaves a trail of breadcrumbs leading to the Frontier. Thus, Vajra believes the humans destroyed their planet, and declares war. For the humans, Sheryl was supposed to be killed on the planet at the height of her popularity (if Grace had her way), and the Vajra would be blamed for the destruction of the planet and her death. leading to an international tragedy that would make the humans hate the Vajra and declare war on them. and as we keep attacking the vajra all-out, they keep retaliating in force. this escalates. imagine how you can stop this escalation between two sides who have no way of communicating with each other (at least none that we know of yet). That's the "hate" that Grace was going for. it's just classic war-mongering. it's not the emotion per se that Grace was so hyped about, but the effects of the hatred on war and politics. The intended result was an all-out war between the Vajra and the Humans. as for the reason behind this plot, we don't know yet. seriously.
  14. was gonna point it out, but you beat me to it. assuming sheryl and Ranshe does look a little alike, it might not be that much of a big deal. they could have been taken from the same cloning source a while back. after all, after SW1, the earth's gene pool was quite limited. other examples, as you pointed out, would be the vendor and the taxi driver. (now i wanna go through the entire series again, and play a game of "find the clone"!) btw... some of the speculation connects Sheryl to the the Mao Nome name because of the way Ranshe looks (vis-a-vis Sheryl). has there been an established blood link between Mao Nome and Ranshe? (seriously asking. I might have missed it.)
  15. salesman trying to sell alto a dress = Leon taxi driver = Howard Glass Sheryl Nome = Ranshe i wonder who else?hehehe.
  16. i LOVE this pic. wouldn't mind something like this in ep 19. hehe.
  17. THANK YOU for the sheryl pics!finally, something to take away that disturbing sight of Man Klan from my head.
  18. It all makes sense now!!! why there doesn't seem to be a brouhaha about the war heroes (and minmei) missing... no search and rescue missions... miku and misa hanging out with the jenius family... hikaru and minmei giving birth to Basara who was able to go to Macross 7... er.... scratch that last one.
  19. locker and cellphone scene beats everything else, IMHO.
  20. Cool!! thanks for starting this.
  21. Well, this we know... Ranka's at least one person who doesn't mind the suspension of the mass transport system during the long distance fold... Ranka: "What?? there's a transport system??"
  22. the thing is, with this recent discussion, there's not even a black hole to speak of, strictly speaking. it's just a what-if? scenario...
