at some point we do have to realize that, maybe, just maybe, this series was written up with not just old-time macross fans in mind. I mean, if you never saw SDFM and the pineapple salad episode, i'm pretty sure the episode itself is quite a riveting story on its own. And me, i'd just call it "pacing".

That would be ep 10, after the credits of the Birdman movie, when Ranka was introduced to the stage as the actor for Mao Nome. Ozma, watching from home, said something about it "being fate that Ranka plays Dr. Mao." Lord Breetai, That's actually feasible and possible. if ever it's right, then that would be quite a dramatic set of final episodes down the line.

Most of it is the Joker theme (that screeching feedback-type sound building to a crescendo). Not your typical orchestra score. it was so perfect for the joker scenes, that I couldn't distinguish the audio from the visual at the start. It was only on second viewing that i really noticed it. but most of the scores are variations of the batman theme (according to the composers, yup even the joker theme is a variation). That's why the soundtrack sounds like one long continuous score with different moods.

well, it was actually Alto's paper plane that gave her determination and courage, so i'll have to go with d3v on this one: hippocow soft ice cream = band magically appearing out of nowhere. hotdog buns and soda = seeing your first macronized zentraedi. ever. picnic sandwiches = getting stood up the whole day without a message!
