  1. I'm in for 1, but I'll get two if the project greenlight seems iffy.
  2. Whatever, I'm in...this has been on my top-3 most wanted kits for over 20 years. C'mon people, it's this, or your 8th VF-1 repaint...
  3. Just looking at the instructions it looks like it goes on the bottom of the "feet" between the front and rear talon parts.
  4. My Tiger 2.5 turret is nearly there. All the hull and turret fiddly bits need to be attached still, and obviously the running gear and tracks are just being test-fit here to get a feel for the final arrangement. Ended up just heavily modifying the Henschel turret rather than totally scratch-build it.
  5. 1/72 custom zimmerit? That is impressive. Most impressive. I used to build 1/72 tanks, as I like everything to be in scale together...but for customs and kitbashing 1/35 is just so much more forgiving. Those hull extensions on that (A)SU-85, a mm of measuring error would have been really noticeable in 1/72. Here it's nothing some filler or some sanding can't fix.
  6. Nice Ki-61. One of the more elegant fighters from the war, and certainly looks like you are doing it justice. For my part, I'm working on two fake but plausible AFVs: Turret may need to be scratchbuilt To complete my WWII phoney TD trilogy
  7. Lets get a larger version of that in here: And a paintshop I did to turn it into a desktop background, back when we had smaller, lowrez screens:
  8. I'm waiting for the "why." It looks nice. It doesn't look anywhere near nice enough to justify that figure. Am I missing something?
  9. This has been the best half a year for Gundam kits ever. HGUC Messala and Gerbera Tetra, and now MG Turn X? Saweet!
  10. Is that a Deperdussin on the undersides? That's pretty cool. Nice homage.
  11. This is really coming together! Great work Knight.
  12. car pron you say? How about this: People tend not to appreciate the classics much anymore, but this is beautiful no matter what sort of car guy you are.
  13. If half of what I've seen in Japanese pop culture was twice as subtle it'd still be too angsty, melodramatic, and overthetop moe for me to take more than a half hour per week. From what I understand, Japanese contemporary culture is about understatement and subtlety, what I've seen of their entertainment is anything but.
  14. Ditto. The internals seem to make no reference to the fact that he's a Transformer. And what are those leg vents for if the only thing behind him are some pistons? If it was a new, unique take on Prime, or the internals gimmick had been thought out at all, or if it was way way way cheaper...eh, still probably not though. Never really liked Prime.
  15. Honestly, I thought the character coloring was the best thing about them. Good luck Knight, looking forward to seeing this evolve.
  16. I'll just say what I said about the cover for the first version: I know this isn't a professional work, but the light aliased lines on the images that you pasted onto a black background make it look unacceptably slapdash. The sort of red flag that might warn otherwise interested parties not to buy something unpolished. Also, the characters on the cover look a bit like fan art. I can't put my finger on it, but something looks slightly off. I know, a book should be about the contents not the cover, but if that's the first thing one sees they might not look further. I know this sounds a bit harsh, but I know how much effort you've put into this world and this story and I wouldn't want you to "go live" with a product that doesn't reflect the seriousness with which you take it. The overall design and layout though look pretty solid.
  17. I'm in for one fer sure. I was really hoping for that Protect, never seen a physical model of one, and was exited for it. Still...never seen a Gurab that matched the lineart to my satisfaction, so anxious to see what Capt. can do with it.
  18. I was much more impressed with EOE's visuals than DYRL. The artistic choices made, the visceral visual style and the deliberate shot compositions. DYRL is great and fun to watch, but for me there is no comparison to be made in which one is the more "beautiful" film.
