    It's great that domestic retailers can carry them now, but that's quite the markup at BBTS. It's $379 shipped from Amazon Japan for me. Don't think HLJ will be lower than that, but Arcadia hasn't yet shown they can deliver an Sv-51 without problems, so I'll stick with HLJ just in case we get two right arms or something.

    I'll wait for HLJ to open preorders. I want to be covered in case something like the Ivanov leg problem happens again.

    Shipping something the size of a VF-25 should cost around 3500 yen via Fedex/DHL, give or take, from HLJ. $5 or $10 in either direction makes little difference to me when I'm spending over $200 already. I just want my stuff... and I want it noooooow!

    You'll also get it a month earlier, possibly longer. Many of the things from Japan I've ordered in the past year or so from domestic retailers have often been delayed for months. So if the supply chain snarls continue into next spring, that May 2022 date may slip to June or July or even later. Cost-wise it's pretty much a wash, unless you live somewhere that really dings you with import taxes.

    I will have an entire room dedicated to putting them all on display. But first I need someplace to actually display them. Detolfs are decent but I'm looking around for other display options that won't break the bank.

    Finally opened up my GBP set. It's a beast! Probably my favorite of Bandai's 1/48 line so far. Looks great and just the right amount of tampo printing.

    Not that hard. Just have to remove a few screws in the back and swap them right out. Yamato didn't glue everything shut the way Bandai does.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone! After eating with the family, I pulled some more valks out of storage and brought them to my new house.

    Bandai loves oversizing their tampo. UN SPACY text on the legs and gunpod look ginormous. Aside from that, it's looking good. Like a scaled down Arcadia 0S. Hope the build quality is better than the HMR VF-1. Hope the heat shield is also integrated this time and parts swapping is not required. I love parts swapping!... said nobody ever.

    Yeah I wish Arcadia or Bandai had given us that blue YF-19. I kinda like it.

    It's as much a Max valk the way that the 30th anniversary YF-29 was a Roy valk. Meaning not really but people keep saying it till they believe it.

    Yeah I had one in my cart at Amiami when it went to closed status but was able to check out after 10 minutes of server error messages.
