    Thanks @no3Ljm! Seeing the fighter in profile like that really shows how poorly everything fits together on the 31AX. It reminds me of the 1/72 Yamato YF-19.

    Went searching for my old destroids and found an olive drab Tomahawk and was surprised to find it was the weathering version. Couldn't find the standard tan version anywhere, so I might have to buy two Arcadia Tomahawks to make a proper squad.

    Hmmm I'd like to buy it from a domestic retailer to support more WWM releases and avoid dealing with PO madness... but I'd get it a month or two sooner if I buy it from a Japanese store. Decisions, decisions...

    Since I had my supplies out from working on the 1D, I decided to touch up the 31AX a bit. Sadly one of the pegs on the clear part of the stand snapped off while I was fiddling with it. What a flimsy part that was.

    Let's not forget that Frontier was a good show, whereas Delta is the worst entry in the Macross franchise, and honestly one of the worst anime I've watched in years.

    Tabs that are too big to fit into their designated slots. I guess Bandai fired all their CAD guys and just eyeballed everything for the 31AX.

    I'd buy it! Biggest mecha I have is the 1/144 GP03. It's 1.4 meters long. I built it years ago when my modeling skills were non-existent (as opposed to just beginner level today). I'd like to try my hand again at it today, if I can find the time and wherewithal to do it. For 1/60 Monster the best we could hope for would be an extremely limited run model kit, like the 1/60 Regult.

    Glad the 29 is a worldwide release... but let's be honest, how many of you are still gonna be up late on PO night trying to crawl your way through checkout at the usual Japanese shops? I'm hoping it doesn't take a week or two after Japan's PO before showing up on US retailer websites.

    Hey thanks! Both actually have similar levels of effort to bring them to their current level of detail. Though less work on the DX since it has pretty much all the necessary markings already printed (even the ejection seat warnings!). It looks really orange in the pics (probably my ad hoc light setup), but I think the Yamato orange is closer to the anime.

    Be nice if Arcadia reissued their stand. It's probably my favorite stand next to Yeti.

    I'm with you on that. Freaking idiotic on Bandai's part to not give us that and a second Hikaru pilot figure. My 1D cockpit is empty because Hikaru is in the fan racer and of course no sitting Minmay.

    I'm with the OP. Don't care for the original version. The only versions I like are the solo performance by Nakajima Megumi, and the collaborative version featuring May'n, Megumi, and all the Walkure.
