    I'm looking forward to having a nicely lined & weather 0D with aligned intake markings. Might sell my old 0D or maybe use it as a battroid-only display piece after I get the PF. Now I'm almost wishing I had taken the time to do some panel shading on my PF 0S so it'll not look so mismatched with the 0D. But man I really like how it looks all clean and shiny. I do have my original panel shaded 0S but it's an earlier piece and honestly I've become dissatisfied with the way it turned out. Old & new:

    Got my preparation notice from NY too. Which means it might ship tomorrow, or it might ship a month from now. Who knows with NY.

    Some people are just awful. "Kyoto Animation is a producer of animated features and tv series with a focus on teen and youth stories. Their projects include the feature A Silent Voice and the series Sound! Euphonium." @505thAirborne isn't going to like this news.

    In the little bit of art I've seen. the SDF-3 looks like they took two of Britai's ships and stuck them together side by side, painted it mauve, and added a bunch of spikes.

    The Enterprise looked best in TMP. Too bad the movie was a snooze. Later movies matted over the beautiful pearl finish, kept the deflector always blue, and didn't bother lighting the nacelles at all.

    For $1701 I'm super tempted now... When's the Eaglemoss XL Akira-class coming out? I remember it being put up for preorder last year, then it vanished.

    It's the Bandai 1/850 kit from waaaay back. It's snap-together like their Gundam kits, but all the paneling is painted and markings are printed on all the parts. It also comes with an internal lighting system using incandescent bulbs, which are not pure white and looked more yellowish, especially as the batteries got low, which tended to make the nacelles look greenish along with the main deflector, if you painted it blue (it's transparent out of the box). I replaced the bulbs on mine. There are blue LEDs for the main deflector and warp nacelles, and white LEDs for the windows. I also obtained an aftermarket blue deflector dish to replace the stock dish. Yowza! Was it always that amber or are the batteries low? It is a decent representation of the gold deflector when she's in spacedock.
