Thank you, sir! It's a real time saver when most of the markings are already printed on. I still had to add a few more decals to complete the look, though most of them are for fighter mode. A few more pics in the hangar. I'm going to need a third and maybe fourth FEXT hangar with how big the 1/48s are! Same pic, but with the overhead hangar light on. Which one do you guys prefer?

Ferry is more expensive than ECO shipping for me at NY. This isn't a scheme I'm crazy about, but the NY price is low enough for me to go ahead and pick one up.

Funny I decided to click this forum link at precisely one minute before PO open. Pure coincidence. I'll skip this one or wait for it to hit the bargain bin. The previous HMR VF-4 was a bit lackluster and took a lot of work on my part to look presentable.

No special lens. I'm just using my Pixel camera for these pics. Yes, it really does make a huge difference. I never even gave it a second thought till I painted the landing gear for the first time on a Bandai DX. Now I dislike the unpainted landing gear on all of them. Haha thanks!

I laid down a coat of primer before using some white Tamiya paint (they're lacquer-based). Then just did a standard wash before putting a clear coating over the whole thing. Yeah it's a lot of steps, which is why I wish Bandai would just paint them from the start.

Received my Akira class. Looks good, though the overall hull color is darker than other Federation ships. Gonna need that starship name decal.
