    Last I heard from HLJ was October, but it's already the 30th. Gonna be 2020 before we get those parts, methinks.

    WOW!!! That's incredible! It's like a brand new valk! Was this using hydrogen peroxide or the technique with the UV light?

    Also says they contain no thrusters or propellant. So yeah they're just missile pods, essentially. (If they contain no fuel or propellant, shouldn't the F in FAST be dropped?)

    Good eye @Shizuka the Cat, though those are the YF-19 leg armors pictured (the YF-21 only has the belly armor, but same principle). I figured the 19/21 armors are mostly missile containers since they're atmosphere-capable and don't appear to add much in the way of thrust.

    Doesn't everyone have 4x VF-4 already?

    Yeah, the tiny DX pilot really throws the scale off and makes the VF-1 seem like the most gigantic VF ever built, when it's the smallest. Here's hoping someone with way more skill than me creates some properly sized DX compatible pilots.

    Modified lighting and used Lightroom. That semi-gloss finish really reflects a lot of light. EDIT: Some more tests. Definitely need better lights than a couple old desk lamps.

    Haha thanks. There's a definite improvement with the DSLR; one of the things about the phone camera (or it may be the fault of the software) is the color balance sometimes gets thrown off wildly and I have do a lot of color correction in post, which was the case in the above phone pic. The DSLR pic I just did a quick auto-color balance in Photoshop. Phone cameras have come a long way and are great tools, but they can't really compare to a DSLR and someone who knows how to use it (not me yet!). Still need a better light setup, and better blocking, among other things.

    Whoa you have the entire squadron in 1/48! Excellent! Those 1/48 Yammies still look so good in fighter mode. With the white landing gear, they look as good or even a little better than Bandai's in fighter mode.

    It's been 7 years but the Yamato 4G is still an amazing toy that can be mistaken for a 2019 release.

    Yeah the Ghost X-9 is actually pretty huge, not like later era ghosts which are much smaller. The X-9 is the size of a valkyrie.

    Fantastic pic! Or a 1/60 scale version. Just can't move enough units to make it worthwhile. Best we can hope for is HMR.

    Oh, they made a Hawkeye. I only just now noticed. Is it just Ronin but with a few minor tweaks i.e. no hood or swords? Not sure if it's worth getting; Hawkeye is nobody's favorite character.

    That hydrogen peroxide whitening method is interesting. So it only whitens the plastic without affecting the paint or anything else? I have some old valks that have yellowed and some old-ish ones that haven't quite yellowed but the white has definitely faded when putting them next to newer, whiter valks. I'd love to try this method if it's totally safe on paint and tampo printing. Some of those old valks have rainbow canopies I want to salvage!

    That custom looks great! But the stickers look like they're beginning to peel. Markings need to be printed on or at the very least decals provided.
