    It's just the way it was lit and shot. The Warbird appears much darker in DS9 after they switched to CGI.

    Haven't even touched my 51 since the ankle debacle started. I know I'll eventually get either replacement parts or a refund from HLJ but I have little desire to fiddle with it until then.

    Ordered the XL Akira class. Probably the best looking non-hero Federation ship. The XL Warbird looks tempting though I wish they had scaled it to the XL Enterprise-D just so we could appreciate just how much more massive it is. The scale was never really conveyed that well in the show.

    This isn't a complaint, but I'm curious why Bandai decided to give us the space helmet version of Max in his flight suit, instead of giving us the open face version like Hikaru. Is Bandai going to cheap out from here on and give us this space version only? Because I demand an extra large Kakizaki pilot figure for his 1A release!

    Opened up Max and took a few shots in the new hangar. First, the usual minor quibbles that most of us are already aware of: -tiny pilot figure -unpainted landing gear -no ejection seat markings -no modex number on the wing Otherwise, a fantastic bird and the best iteration of the VF-1 to date. My first order of business will be to paint the landing gear white. Hopefully the tampo printing is less shoddy this time around and won't rub off with only a little gentle handing.

    Huh. Google photos went ahead and "stylized" one of my hangar tests. Really like the color saturation on it. Guess I'll have to mess with post processing too.

    Testing out my newly assembled FEXT hangar. Still tinkering with different lighting configurations. What lighting setups do you guys use with the hangar?

    Arrived earlier this morning but I wanted to take the time to assemble my FEXT hangar first.

    Saves a fair bit of time, since decaling is probably the most time-intensive part. Though maybe not as much as I hope, since I tend to add additional markings even to PF releases.

    OMG what if they're secretly the same company? Even the name is suspicious! If you take ARCADIA and replace the A with a B, drop the R, change the C to an N, and rearrange the letters, and you get BANDAI! Obviously, the dropped R was reassigned to the Hi Metal name giving us Hi Metal R! The clues were there all along.

    Reviewer says Bandai screwed up the shoulders. Here's the correct shoulders.

    Looks like the reviewer's copy has the wrong side hinge. Now I have to check my 1J when I get home because the shoulder on it doesn't move all the way forward properly. Looks like Arcadia isn't the only one using the incorrect side joints.

    Oh your shot looks great! I meant all those white spaces are begging for a panel wash.
